The Getaway
- Better driving
- Better shooting
- Better story
- Say the F--- word a lot
- British gangster story, kicks ass
- Better graphics
- Progressive scan support

- Somewhat choppy framerate (only when there\'s a lot of cars/pedestrians/smoke on screen), though it\'s usually very smooth
- Much harder

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
- MUCH more freedom
- Funny as hell

- Framerate is more steady

I think the Getaway has alot of comedy in it as well :D
I mean, Jake Jolson and that torture scene are hilarious   ... and when Mark calls Jake a moron....

That was brilliant :D

And when they taped the guy up, and started doing Jackie Chan type actions :D

Definately very Brit-Gangster comedy moments.. I wasn\'t really expecting them.  :)

Exactly what I\'m doing :)

Plus I still got to get Vice City to at least 90% first.

According to internet, reviews, and magazines GTAVC will give you more fun and gameplay time.

I haven\'t been following either games so I don\'t kow much about them. Can you steal cars in The Getaway? Is it a major part of the game? What about VC, do you still steal cars as the main objective?

You can steal all the cars you want in The Getaway.

Driving a double decker bus is always fun.

to be totally honest I\'d save up and buy both...cause you HAVE to.
I\'d say if you prefer realism then get The Getaway if you can\'t afford both, but Vice City is funny down right sick and the fact that you have side missions and loads to do anyway when not doing missions makes it a great and massive game.

I own both and I\'m taking a break from Vice City for a little bit to complete TG with Marc Hammond then go back to VC again and play The Getaway every now and again as Frank Carter in the other story.

I\'m inside Charlies Mansion at the moment and the laser traps are hard to get past.

Jake is a kick ass character, but I really think that Yasmin is one of the strongest characters and apart from Marc, my other favorite, cause like the booklet says, she\'s actually a hurt little girl on the inside.

Seriously though, buy both cause both have great elements to them which you may enjoy playing, and ignore what the reviews say, The Getaway ISN\'T better than Vice City...they are both fantastic in different ways...but thats my opinion.
