They should have left Columbia at the station. They knew there was damage to the wing. An engineer did report minor damage and didn\'t think it would be a problem. I think the wing came off. That could explain the couple of bright dots but that\'s my opinion. that or when the insulating foam came off, the intense heat blew it up. Anyway, those two things were recipes for disaster. They should have grounded Columbia at ISS.

I agree, they should never have left the station since they didnt know exactly how much damage took place. All of the critical tiles(black ones I believe) need to be in place. Thats the reason they dont come down through rain and storm clouds, b/c rain can damage the tiles pretty easily. They are extremely delicate, so for something to hit the wing and them come down without an exstensive check sucks.

Of course, alot of this is still speculation, so only time will tell how this unfolds.

A couple tiles I think did get knocked off also during launch but that\'s just speculation.

I found this article. This could be the reason there are no Discovery launches this year. Cracks have been found on fuel lines or something.

What\'s wrong with an invalid item? :p I know what it was. A piece of the debris. I did a search myself. A lot of sick morons out there. Good to know they can follow directions.

I can bet that that guy will try again. Someone already got the patches online. Its good to see people are tyring to cash out of an international tragedy :rolleyes: He should atleast donate the money to the families.
