I used the Euro for a couple of weeks when I was backpacking last year, it\'s not too bad if you\'re on the mainland, jumping across borders and using the same currency was cool. It just serves no purpose when we\'re seperated from the rest of Europe by a 30 mile channel and the pound is so strong.

I\'ve always been an avid anti-Europe person, I feel the US is our best friend but I think as a pair Bush and Blair are wrong on this one. The only good thing to come out this war is that the US an UK are still close friends.

There was a march in my town.  I was there.  It was fun.  Unfortunately though, it was raining so the turnout wasn\'t as great as we had hoped.

We\'re expecting a peace march in Ottawa tomorow, by the US embassy.

As for pros/cons of protests, even though I\'m quite right wing with my thinking, I think that the right to a non-violent protest is one of the most important rights in society.  Of course you don\'t see any instant results from protests, but when enough rational, ordinary people peacefully protest against something, eventually the halls of power notice.  As for violence in a protest, I think the protesters themselves should be responsible for ejecting any violent/stupid members of a group, and if not, they deserve exactly what\'s coming to them.

Tell me what good comes from stopping the flow of traffic? It seems to me it would be far better to go to Washington and have a giant rally. Stopping traffic in Boston will do nothing.

And how about one protester holding a sign that denounces Saddam for a change.

I don\'t know, how about it?  Maybe you people should organize a march for once.

What I was involved in was smaller scale, due to the small town I live in.  It didn\'t stop the flow of traffic.  Either way, I think the group that I\'ve been doing these things with, Bethlehem Neighbors for Peace, has been doing some good.  Similar groups have formed in neighboring communities inspired by and based on ours.  To me, that shows that in some way we are making a difference.  If nothing more, at least we are hopefully making some people think.

taking a crap seems like "the right thing to do"

the outcome may be similar

people don\'t want to think anymore, they want everything handed to them on a platter

we\'ve become like children

A NY Post reporter said it best...

Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit are anti-war but half their fans don\'t even know what Iraq is...

(Not actual quote)

July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
