Well I\'ve never had even an ear pierced,and never would.To tell you the truth I think ear piercing is for women who want another place to hang jewellery to give the impression of wealth.To me the face should just be left,you keep saying tattoo\'s are OK but I\'ve seen people with tattoo\'s on their face and to me that looks crap to.I can\'t really explain it but people with facial piercings either look like that guy from five(pom boy band) or like they haven\'t showered for a year.Either way it aint good.

Oh yeah and how is someone else cutting of your foreskin when your a baby SELF mutilation??

I am only considering piercing my left ear, thats it, and nothing more. I\'m barely considering only my left ear, depends on how I feel during the summer.

L-I-C has a total correct thing going on, and I agree (For once

).

Throughout the years things that are acceptable have changed. Back in the 60\'s I\'m sure how we dress today, the music, and what is socially acceptable wasnt as how it is now. Things change- change is almost always for the better.

People dye their hair blonde- why? To fit in, because I guess it is socially acceptable to kill off your hair- and have a head full of junk. People in other parts of the world do things like this too. In INDIA people stretch their necks, enlarge their ears, flatten their forheads, and shrink their feet- but its acceptable their.

This isnt that strange. The guy from Kiss did stuff like this- but was he considered a freak? No- he was considered God by some.

Quite a few people around here have been doing that and some laws are being put in order so that people cant do this sort of mutilation. I wonder if they can control just one side and make them wave. lol. i think kissing a girl that had a fork tounge would be ... wierd.

How is it self mutilation?

People have been doing stuff like this forever. So what is a tattoo? How about a piercing? It could go under "self-mutilation\'\'.

Its just on a bigger scale.

Mutilation: To disfigure by damaging irreparably; To make imperfect by excising or altering parts.

Yeah self goes under that but im being broad. And it doesnt matter how long people have been doing this because tounge forking is not common and therfore not accepted by the general public. Tattoos have been tribal for a long time, thus it has been accepted. Peircings have also held a large role in our history tribaly. When somebody over does it, of course, it is looked down upon. Its the same thing as being gay. People going against what was ordained since the begining of the earth by god (if one belives in god). sure it has been going on for some time but only now are people open about it and many respond negatively to it.

People weightlift and damage their own bodies- yet it isnt considered odd- or nasty.

People cut/and dye their hair. It damages it.

Well the killing doesnt go without punishment. Thats one thing and people dying thier hair is common and has been done for quite some time. Somewhat similar to interracial marriages. Cutting ones hair doesnt damage it. Actually many times it heals it by getting rid of split ends. And If you also notice, most people dont like people with outrageously large muscles. Not all weightlifters go to extremes or damage their bodies.

Like i said earlier. Tounge forking is relatively new and isnt done by many and thus not accepted...yet. Who knows about the future.
