SKL did find something on the knife, but the "traces" are so small that they decided not to spoil it, and instead send it to England.

Denied everyzing.

Tomorrow at 12 o\'clock the deadline is up. Either they release him or lay out the evidence.
Since they have his cap and some blood that might be his, that should not be so hard. Unless they got the wrong dude.

I read in the newspaper today that this guy was released but they have arrested someone else who bears a resemblance to the attacker. He has a criminal record too, so let\'s hope there is a successful outcome to all this.

Ah well, the first guy they got (the dude in the picture Bossie posted) was the wrong man. :rolleyes:

Typical, the newspapers were having a field day digging into his past, writing up stories about him and so on. Then it turns out he is not the killer, so now he can sue them (not American style, he does not get billions, but maybe a few hundred thousand.)

Anyways, shortly after his release (a few days) they get this 24 year old man. The cops are pretty sure its him, I think they got DNA evidence from the cap, and now just a few days ago they got the results back from Britain about that knife.
They wont say if his DNA matched out right, but they did say that now they suspect him more than ever (which can only mean one thing

)

He has been detained in custody on the highest level of suspicion (the other guy, was detained with the lowest level of suspicion).

The likely murderer is this guy.

If they got the DNA on the weapon (which I’m pretty sure they have), then its over for him.. Life in prison (20+ years, depends) or maybe more likely forced mental care (?).

The cops are pretty sure its him.. When they were tailing him a few hours (days?) before the arrest they saw him on his balcony hundreds of times doing the "cross on chest" sign and looking up the sky.

Also, he did not leave his apartment much, and the few times he went outside he was acting very nervous.

Anyways, the reason I\'m bumping this thread is because the trial has now been given a date.. It will start on the 14th or 15th January.
And for the first time ever, media is allowed to "show" the trail on TV Live, but only Audio.

TV4+ is going to air from 9 in the morning to 16:30 each day, also the trial is expected to last seven to ten days.

The trial will take place in Stockholms Tingsrätt säkerhetsal (Stockholm’s District Court security hall)

Now, lets hope he gets life (even if that means ~20 years).

Stupid mofo, now he has ruined the trial

j/k, it will be a pleasure to see him go down.

He confessed after reading the overwhelming evidence they have against him, but I hope they wont give him a milder sentence because of the confession.
