You have just told me you didnt understand the plot.
People that say things like"Neo was like Jesus" and liked the film dont differ from people that didnt understand the plot and hated the movie like you
Pot calling the kettle and whatnot...
You have no permission to tell me that I didn\'t get the film ever again if you think there are no parallels present between the Matrix and Christianity. There are many different interpretations and no one is right and the Wachoskis know this, which is why they are allowing people to discuss it on their own. You want to know the real truth? Go talk to the Wachowskis and waste some of their time rather then assuming you know everything and complain that those who don\'t appreciate it are imbecils because, somehow, they didn\'t understand it as you have done SEVERAL times in this thread. Here, open yourself up to some other viewpoints while you\'re at it and read the following essays:
http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/rl_cmp/new_phil_intro2.htmlWhile you\'re at it though, I want to give you one more piece of free advice -- give yourself a break and consider for a moment, just for a moment now because I don\'t want you hurting yourself, that maybe people understood the film just fine, but still didn\'t like it. Just imagine that there are some people out there who not only have the intelect to understand something as "complicated" as the Matrix, but also the fortitude to stand up and say "hey, despite everything they tried to do, this movie is still a pile of bile." If you can\'t comprehend or accept that, then you have no business telling people what they understand or don\'t understand about the film. No one interpretation is correct except the Wachowski\'s interpretation and until then, it\'s fun to discuss, but claiming someone is wrong or right is just wasted breath. It\'s all interesting, but it\'s all heresay no matter how you justify it.
