Take a Look in the Mirror...
« on: November 22, 2003, 12:24:47 AM »
Korn\'s newest album.

Anyone pick it up? I got to listen to it, and it is pretty good. Besides the 1 rap song on it; its a headbanger.

Korns last album Untouchable\'s wasnt bad, just not as good as I expected.

Its a new sound, but still back to the metal basics.

(BTW: I know, nu-metal is just mainstream shit, but KoRn is the backbone, and the only MTV band worth listening to)

i havnt been able to listen to it that much but i listened to the cd a couple times. Its pretty good but a little slower. Id probably rank it their third best (S/T and Issues is better)

Korn the backbone of nu-metal?

:stick:

I swear if Faith No More were dead, they\'d be rolling in their graves.  Not that they would ever claim responsibility for the genre. ;)

 Yeah, I got it a year before it was released.

I have listened to it a couple times. At first I was really skeptical, I thought it was really poor. Ive listened to it again, they are still one heavy band.

BTW: The DVD is pretty funny. The end scares the shit out of me. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGG!

Korn is one of those sad bands that peaked with their first album.

no no-one they sort of hit their pinnacle with there 3rd album, do you not remember how blown up they got with that one? Unless of course you thought that was there 1st, although the first is great second was ok, 3rd I loved 4th was more Jonathan Davis airing out his dirty laundry and never picked up the 5th

Their first was simply their best, Life is Peachy was acceptable (it was nicely dark) but Follow the Leader was the start of their decline.

Simple fact like gravity.

I have to agree that Follow the Leader was their best, but I still liked Issues.

Yah, commercialism.

Generally the reason why long term fans prefer their first (two) album(s) more than Follow the Leader, and those that.. followed it.
