I\'m a Democrat b/c I believe in human rights and liberties. Welfare, medicaid and etc...do work. And among other things.

What side are you on? and why?

Welfare works??? Maybe for the lazy.  Medicaid is not just a Democrat issue as well.  Do you even know what Medicaid is Mystiq?  I am a Republican for those that couldn\'t have guessed ;)

Yeah, that\'s why Bush passed the "Patriot Act" and why the EPA budget got cut almost in half. That\'s why Republicans(majority) support anti-abortion groups. I know what Medicaid is, If it hadn\'t been for it I would of died from Pnemonia(sp). It\'s sad when you associate Welfare with "lazy people" I bet not one of you have ever met a person that doesn\'t live in a house, that depends of it to live, there are people to take advantage of it, but the majority doesn\'t and I\'m and know living proof of it. But then again Republicans do love making the rich richer.

The EPA and Human Rights and Liberties?????  I don\'t see a connection there.  Welfare is for the lazy... and if your parents (who are not citizens here) are collecting it that is even more of an atrocity.

I would also bet most of the Republicans on here are far from rich as you like to believe we all are.  What this boils down to is I don\'t want my tax dollars to go to anything that supports the lazy, the illegal immigrants, bilingual materials, etc...

I\'m pretty much a moderate but hen I\'m 18 and registering to vote, I will register as a Republican. However I do jump the fence on certain issues. I\'m against capital punishment and I\'m for welfare.

I\'ve had friends with parents that just bust their butts off everyday, and still collected welfare checks... And the welfare was like 10 bucks, it was so ridiculously little. I find it sad that everyone complains about having money go to fellow Americans who need it. Granted there is the lazy bunch that just sit around and collect it, however what matters is helping those who need all the help they can get.

I was at school so I dindn\'t feel like making a connection. Welfare is for the needy, if you think that it\'s only for the lazy, then you really always lived on the sunny side of this country. I don\'t think you need to be a Citizen to get welfare or Medicaid...only a paycheck. The 350 dollars my dad made every month payed for the rent. Thank you Democrats for Welfare. It\'s funny, most Republicans that I know are white. They own businessess, and get 3k dollar income tax return. So what is the only thing they worry about the President being "Christian, Pro-Life..." etc..

For the record, welfare is not just for lazy people. Sometimes, people do actually need it and that\'s what it is there for. Yes, a lot of people abuse it, but sometimes, something happens and you have to use it for alittle while . I have known people who have been on it for a short term and then got off of it, once they got a job. So, please, do not say it\'s used just by the lazy. That\'s as close-minded and arrogant as you can get .


However, I will say that if you not a legal citzen over here, you have NO RIGHT to American things such as Welfare.,
