that thread with ferrari has caused me to resurrect this thread with an update...no tickets folks but just a small encounter....a couple weeks back..i was comin from the bank about 6:45 pm...this guy in a (well i\'m assuming) suped up eclipse..comes buy me doin\' like 85...now we\'re on interstate 20 east and there are still plenty of cars on the road..so he see\'s me comin on strong and he nails it....he has about a 2 1/2 car length on me but we\'re both weavin in and out of traffic...we hit a spot were it finally opened up...and we were doin\' close to 115 mph.....i admit he got the best of me tho.

I started slowing down for fear of the cops...he kept on going...i mean this cat just kept it floored!.. i did happen to see him at the following exit tho...it was a red fully kitted eclipse..(not the new one..but an older model)..with one of those big ass exhaust on it. I really needed my ass whooped for doin\' that tho....there was still a decent amount of cars on the road for me to be doin\' that s**t....once in awhile tho i just like to open it up....it\'s a pretty quick rush...:fro:...anyway anybody has new speeding updates?

I\'ve had 2. The last one I got was in 1989 coz I got stuck in the diamond lane (HOV lane to THX) in Old Town, Alexandria.

Strange thing is - I\'m always above the speed limit by 10 to 20mph! Just lucky I guess. I know where the popos are.

I havent either. Got really close twice.

One on city streets i was going about 10 mph over the speed limit and i noticed a cop was parked on the side (was a pretty big street, length wise, with a lot of houses/cars) but luckily he didnt deem a pull-over necessary. That or i slowed down in time but im pretty sure i saw him too late. I was honestly expecting a ticket in the mail er something,lol. Thought it was a lazy cop who just got lisence plate numbers and mailed tickets..if thats possible.

The second time i was on the highway and i wasnt completely speeding, but i had to make a move around a guy going 60 so to a cop it looked pretty bad. After i got ahead of the guy going 60 i saw a cop change lanes right behind me..was like oh fuck. Luckily i was right at the exit i needed to get off of and he drove right by me. I guess highway patrol cant pull you over on city streets if you\'re not doing anything major?

yeah, maybe.  Since it\'s not major, they just let it go.  heh, they are humans too and humans do make mistakes.  So, since it\'s not major, they let it slip and face the other way.

If you drive within a reasonable limit and keep a level head, cops won\'t put you\'ll over.

Panick and jam on the breaks and you might as well head off to the shoulder, you\'re getting one.

I have no new tickets to report, knock on wood. My insurance has cut in half over the last couple years and my license is being cleaned of points.
