Just got one a couple days ago for going 22.

THought I was out of a school zone.  There was a stop light in the middle of the school zone and I just thought I was out of it.  Kind of hard to start from a light and only go 15.  ANyway, they were doing a sting and there were 6 cops there pulling people over.

Kind of lame.  I\'ve gone 100+ many many times on the interstate and I get busted doing 22.

Since buying my current car, I have been pulled over twice for speeding on the interstate.  Once by the CHP, and once by the Arizona Highway Patrol.  On both occasions, I was given a WARNING.  

The first time was total BS.  I was driving 5 mph over the speed limit, and the female CHP officer knew she didn\'t have anything on me.  She probably thought I was a young punk who needed to be made an example of, but she didn\'t figure on meeting an old guy like me.

The second time was my fault.  I broke my own rules as stated earlier in this thread.  I wasn\'t paying attention, and I let myself become a target by being the fastest vehicle on the road.  He had me on radar at 90 in a 75, but when the dude caught up to me, I was back to my normal speed of 83.  He was cool, and I was his 1,000th stop of 2005, so he gave me a break with a written warning.

I\'ve had one speeding ticket that was completely BS. I haven\'t had one since and I haven\'t been in any accidents. The cops here in AZ are fucking ridiculous. They\'re also racist. They threw my Filipino cousin in jail for speeding. They wouldn\'t believe him that my aunt was his mom. And they kept thinking he was Mexican. Dumb asses.

Just one, 13 years ago. was going 130+MPH on my motorcycle down in a full tuck, in the middle of nowhere down a 10 mile long hill. When I sat up to slow down, there was a trooper right behind me. Oh yeah, I didn\'t have a license either. He gave me a ticket for that & doing 70 in a 55.

Had one, They busted me going down a hill 10ks over.. Got a fine of 120bucks.. But eh, what can u do.  

well, i won powerball 5th division, which was 140 bucks.  So it basically paid for the ticket..  Gotta love it.

well...i \'ve got just one other small detail to add to the mix....i think this is something 98% of us are guilty of....how many of you actually slow down when the traffic light turns yellow?......sheeit i know the majority of the time i floor it just so i can make it.......it truly is one of life\'s greatest satisfactions once you clear that light right?...:fro:...i mean you feel like you are the man once you blow by it...until you come up to a red light that\'s a couple of blocks down the street...

when i was livin\' in jersey  back in 96,97...i was going to willowbrook mall, and this was the only time where runnin\' that yellow light didn\'t work for me. i mean that light changed quick as hell!...by the time i nailed it, the light had already changed to red..and clearly there was no way i was stoppin\' so i had to blaze through that red light with my horn blazin\'....and a cop was right there to snag my ass....

clips- it does feel good to clear that light.  Especially at those intersections that take freaking forever.

one thing i find myself doing when i\'m late to work is... when i see it turn yellow & there\'s no way to make it, i get in the right lane and make a right @ the light.  Then u-turn the first spot i can to get back on the road i was originally on.  sometimes it works for the better, sometimes it doesn\'t

I don\'t go thru yellows now.  Did it in front of my neighborhood a little over a year ago and got pulled over for it.  When the cop asked on why I thought I was pulled over I said I knew I cut it close.  He then goes on to write on the ticket that I admitted running it.  I\'m left dicked even though I knew I went thru the yellow and my passenger agreed.

I was stopping for one in the right lane, there was a woman waiting to turn left coming the other direction (already in the intersection) and she starts to turn just as  this asshole runs the yellow. She\'s a parapalegic now. The kid was 17, no insurance, and an unregistered car with switched plates. He got out and ran.

Guess what ethnicity he was! :fro:

He sounds like a dick for hitting her, but "running a yellow" isn\'t a crime. All that other stuff he did, that is...

Rule of thumb, a yellow light stays yellow one second for every ten miles per hour the speed limit is.

I generally try to go through them, but I don\'t change speed. If you have too gun it, you\'re too far back. If you start to slow down, you mess up your rhythm and it usually turns red before you get there...

I don\'t know how fast that kid was coming through the yellow, but she\'s just as at fault if he wasn\'t speeding and she tried to cut him off either hoping he would stop or because she didn\'t want to wait through another red light.

In hindsight, an extra 40 seconds at the light would\'ve been a lot better... Gotta be careful.

I ususally hit the breaks but also run it. Its like 50/50 if I run it or hit the breaks. Sometimes I hit the breaks too hard and the anti-lock system kicks in.
