well he is a little peak at what the new ati card will look like

Personally it looks just like the 9800XT, although the heat sink seems to be a little longer. Glad to see that ATI was able to keep the card cool without using a massive heatsink

Not to mention that it\'s not a friggin space hog inside the motherboard as well.  Just a slightly larger heatsink and a slightly larger fan.  So long as the numbers are accurate in what we\'ve heard so far performance wise, then this will be the card worth getting in a month or two in my opinion.

I do not plan on buying either of the Cards untill the games that require them actually ship, DOOM 3 HALF-LIFE 2. Untill then MY ti4600 will do.

Also hopefully by the time DOOM 3 and HL2 ship, I can then upgrade to a 939 AMD64 HT1000 Dual channel PCI-X motherboard.

Oh i don\'t plan to upgrade right away either.  I want the price to come down quite a bit and any bugs to be worked out in the driver sets before I even bother investing at all.  My 9800pro suits me just fine for playing what I want.  I can\'t imagine Half Life 2 requiring much more to run on a system then FarCry.  the effects, at least in the demos from last years E3 for HL2, are hardly that drastic of an improvement on what FarCry already displays.

No I agree, but remember on the 9800 Pro Half-Life 2 was CPU limited, not GPU. So the new cards will push performance even further, plus bragging rights for some. Also who knows what Vavle is adding to the game since they have decided to delay. I do hear they are adding PS 3.0,  though as of right now, I have yet to see any benifit to it. Also I was going to post an article here yesterday, of a polish webiste that attended the ATI conference yesterday, where I live in TORONTO.

That\'s half life 2, and here is "farcry" running at 68 FPS on r420

Ok here is the pic with fraps removed

By the way that webiste within an hous took down the pics, as intsructed by ATI.

ANyhow I will wait for offical benchmarks before I make any conclusion.

I personally do not believe the R420 will have support for it, then again I could be wrong since we do not have the offical specs released yet,  but beleive me i\'m willing to bank on it; no PS3.0 support, and untill someone can show me conclusive edvidence that 3.0 has any sufficient improvement visually than 2.0 then 3.0 means squat, especially considering it decrease performance under fp32 ps3.0

nope, first off I need to know what game, under what conditions, what graphics card was used etc.. you just can post 2 pics without a link explaining what has been done my friend

For example I saw the ps 2.0 from far cry on the ATI and then the so called pic of the ps3.0 on the NVIDIA and could not see any real significant difference. Also I hope it turns out that PS 3.0 does indeed really improve upon quality, cause if that is the case then I’m all for it, so please provide us with more info mm.

aww you have not proved anything, we are still waiting mm, for a link explaining the 2 pics etc....

you Have proved nothing so far

Oh and one more thing mm, If i FIND OUT THAT both THOSE PICS ARE TAKEN FROM an NVIDIA card, your whole argument will be blown right out of the water. We all know NVidia can\'t do ps 2.0 to saves it\'s life, have you ever seen the comparison between ATI 2.0 and NVIDIA, the IQ on the NVIDIA for 2.0 is horrible

Just looking at the first pic, 2.0 looks like it\'s from NVIDIA not ATI

UPDATE----those pics he pasted both came off the NVIDIA card.

MM, if you knew anything about how to compare Hardware, you would of pasted a ps2.0 pic from the ATI 9800XT and one from the NVIDIA, instead the propaganda matrix that you are you selectively posted 2 pics from the same card, Not at by any means a far comparison, therefore this just illustrats your lack of understanding of how to properly compare and contrast to different forms of hardware.

Really, why don\'t you prove it, instead of sitting here on your ass, as if your some kind of king on a grandiose trip. Just shows how pathetic you are.
