bleh, imagine Sony having exclusive rights to all the cars out there, meaning only GT3 would have real car names in it

this is dumb, even though I don\'t care much for sports games

This kind of pisses me off,  I dont like it at all.  I feel ESPN was set to take the crown this year are next, but something like this will kill them.

^^^They deny *rumors* of the deal going on.  Just like how Microsoft kept denying they weren\'t making a console.

I was always a Madden fan before NFL2k/ESPN but you have to see this years vid of ESPN 2005.  It is the most awesome true to life presentation I have seen on a football game.  You trully feel like your watching an actuall game.  That\'s why this kind of sucks, put\'s a damper on an otherwise awesome title.

What a kick ass move by EA.  Very bold.  The business world is so freaking cut throat.  I love it.

Boycott EA.  honestly, what a bunch of jerks.

EDIT:  damn my blindless, it was a rumor like I thought it was.  Buying out the NFLPA for one gaming company would destroy all competition, the worst possible thing that could happen to video games.

This has to be one of the dumbest things ive heard in a while. That is a cheap move EA. Let the talent put behind the game show its greatness. Taking all the names and putting "We have REAL player names" on the Madden boxes would just be twisted and retarded.

Not a fan of too many sports games but this is just stupid.

Since when has the console world been so... for the lack of a better word, corrupt?

they (EA) are just worried about sega takin that crown this year..sheeit sega took that crown last year with 2004...all you madden heads just need to give espn a spin..i\'ve converted over to it & i\'m never goin back to madden...espn is superior to madden in every way..

I\'m sorry, but it\'s my opinion that IF the console videogame industry comes to a crash, like way back in the early eighties, then it\'ll be (partly) becuz of EA. Heck, imho they single handedly killed off the F1 genre, by their crappy F1 games year after year.

They just take a \'franchise\', in whatever genre (movies, sports, lifestyle etc.), then buy all the official \'to-be-licensed\' content of it, and put it as huge marketing tags on their crappy to mediocre games.... which always just look ....\'just\' slick enough to get the mainstream consumers (ugh, what an ugly word) buy into it.
I had a discussion at work last week with one of commercial project acquisition guys ; he\'s about 31 but only just slightly interested in \'gaming\' and he had the chance to visit E3. He said he was quite impressed by the EA booth... Ugh, so I told him what I thought of them and he could only reply ; ..."but, they have all the great big Hollywood franchises !"

.... :O

As of now ; witness EA single handedly kill off the Bond franchise. They\'re about to friggin\' ruin the "GoldenEye" name !

EA Big is.. maybe... just a bit better... but all in all, imho EA is since ages no sincere gamesdeveloper anymore to me. Imho they\'re just a buncha CEO suits playing the fancy publisher, ruining videogames.
