Xmen vs Sf isn\'t "weaksauce" its probably the best Vs game out.   The others went down hill and killed the whole idea. Then they decided to alter the combo systems and really f@#k the games up.

Pussies? lol. Its pussies that say gay shit like weaksauce. SFA3 is a classic.

You forget your place little one.  SFA2 will ALWAYS be the better game.  ALWAYS.  It was the perfect blend of fighting styles -- no restrictions.  Just like SF3: 3rd is the perfect blend.  No limitations.  Only a fighter newbie would relish in having to choose a limiting system and declare that factor as some type of "classic."  Putting all of your fighters on the levelest playing field and making them work against eachother is the only way to go.  Forget you and your tier system.

Quote
Im sure that goes for the rest of the SF vs series (which also happen to be good games. Cap vs SNK2 being my favorite).

After that, I stopped reading the paragraph.  Cap vs SNK2 is your favorite?  That poke happy game?  Please.  When that game first came out, for the first 3 months, I was in the top 10 on XBL.  Then of course, I got sick of fighting Shoto scrubs, C, N  and K groove players only, and of course the same tiered fighters as always -- Cammy, Sagat, and Blanka.  Waste of time.  Where\'s the variety?  Where\'s the decent A, P or S groove players?  How can anyone appreciate a game where there is no equal playing field unless the same grooves are selected pound for pound?  Just idiocy.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is guilty of the same thing.  There are three tiered characters that are used every time in every tournament.  Heck, the same guy has won for the past four years straight with the same three guys!  Yeesh, how can people appreciate that crap?  How can people appreciate ANY vs game?  You can even see in the SF3:3rd tournament videos of the MvsC2 champ mashing buttons trying to get out of being combo\'ed because that\'s something you can do in MvsC2.  Sad.

SF3: 3rd is where it\'s at.  You won\'t find a more tactical and strategic fighter then that and the players are awesome.  Only in a tournament setting could you find something as awesome as this:

Right Click - Save As

You just can\'t see skill like that in a vs game.

I cant really tell the difference.

You\'re way more vocal about everything and you hate a lot more.  It\'s like you have serious issues with some forms of technology.  It\'s really odd.  Plus, it\'s hard to tell when you\'re being sarcastic or not.  It is text afterall -- we do need hints.

And for the record: I liked your avatar when I first saw it eight months ago.  ;)
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

LOL. I enjoyed your little analysis of everything. Even touched upon my "personality change" and my "old" avatar. I guess i just said alpha 3 because thats what im playing right now. I have all the alphas and youre right. Two was definately a great game but i love 3 as well*shrugs*. I dont care what grooves people play in Cap vs SNK 2, I just enjoy a good challenge. Its rare but i dont have the liberty of playing online sadly:(. I really just like the way the game feels, not to mention the fact that it combinds some of my favorite character rosters ever.

I guess i just have a prejudice against 3rd Strike because i dont own it. I didnt have a dreamcast for the longest and although i played it often at other people\'s houses i guess i just didnt get the time to appreciate it. I love the game but im just not fond of it like i am with the alphas.

Its a pity i cant play against a guru like yourself (*sarcasm*);). I hate playing in some arcades and i rarely meet good players. 2D fighters have been on a decline sadly. The newest that ive gotten into is Guilty Gear X2.

So yeah, down with the hate. I guess since its me i dont see it as much. And most should know that im fairly sarcastic but i guess telling the difference might be difficult. Again i guess its just me not really thinking about it. Its all fun and games.

And dont diss the avatar. I cant make my own and ive never seen it before :p...

Oh yeah... Doom.... uh, it was fun? Yeah, thats it :D

OK last thing about SF etc.

I just watched that clip and i just have to say- wow. I think ill pick up a fresh copy of SF3 this week. Reminded me of heated battles between my cousin and i in Alpha3 (i know that must be some sort of insult to the superiority of 3/alpha 2 but you would really just have to be there). Using characters out of World tour mode, and characters that nobody expects anybody to be good with is just plain fun.

Id explain but ive already gone WAY off topic.

Damnit beat me to it.

But yeah, in 3d fighting things can get pretty technical for obvious reasons but 2d fighting is a whole different thing. Trying to come from playing 3d to 2d isnt cake by a long shot. Thats one thing i love about it.

I only wish i knew were to get more of those videos and not just for 3rd strike.

I find it amazing that they have GGXX Tourney\'s. I wish i could go 1 on 1 with some of those guys. They even have a Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo tourney. Makes me want to enter so bad (though most of those guys are just insane. The GG tourneys must be nuts.
