Anyone else catch it? I thought the speech was incredible. Got me pumped :) For those who missed it, here is a paraphrased version that came up 5 mins after he finished.

I enjoyed it.  I liked the terrorism is worse than communism part.  Excellent speech - too bad some psycho bitch tried to ruin it by yelling at Cheney at the end of Arnie\'s speech.

When i was watching it this morning i was thinking how Giga whould be on here saying that it was the Best speech he ever saw.

Sharpton is an idiot - and so are you my friend.  Arnie gave a very inspirational speech especially since he is an immigrant and has risen to be the govenor of California.  What did Sharpton exactly say again?  Something about not receiving his mule and 40 acres?  :laughing: At least Arnie whose native language isn\'t English can use it correctly unlike the ebonics challenged Sharpton. :laughing:

ooseven when was the last time your "green" party won anything important?  :rolleyes: I can\'t believe being as old as you are you still haven\'t realized that the Labor and the Torries will always control UK politics.  The votes you cast are pretty much a waste - why even go to the polls?  It  took 24 years and they finally received an all time high of 6.9% in 2003, which is nothing.  Their seven seats is a joke in a 129 seat parliament.  

The fact is the RNC has more energy and enthusiasm than the DNC.  The DNC made the mistake of following a far left platform as opposed the RNC\'s more mainstream platform.  Having speakers like Sharpton only made the DNC more unbearable to watch.  Don\'t believe me?  Kerry received virtually no post convention bounce.

typical giga..you take what sharpton said in his speech and completely turn it around..regardless of sharpton\'s past, that night when he gave that speech it was very well written...and lets get it straight, i like arnie and all and he gave decent speech,..but this cat was already a millionare when he went for the govenor spot..so don\'t make it seem like he bit and clawed his way to be govenor...we all know that if you basically have millions in your account,..anybody can run for govenor...prez too for that matter...

heh heh this post actually made me chuckle..ok giga i will forgive you zealot behavior :laughing:...that said tho you knew what i meant about having money & running for gov/prez thing...and i feel it\'s just a difference of opinion when it comes to the speeches,..tho i feel it\'s more favortism on your part when it comes to the republicans...i feel that both speeches were well written and one was not better than the other...

The reason I really like Arnies speech is because it wasn\'t focusing on race - it was focusing on the opportunities in America for Americans and how great it is to be a citizen in this country regardless of whether you were born here or immigrated here.

His speech was uniting, not dividing - which I perceived Sharpton\'s to be.  I have been consistent in that view since we started discussing Sharpton\'s speech.

As for tonights Cheney speech - I think I am going to pass.  He is pretty dull and I am not a big fan of his.
