Isn\'t Sony coming out with a new WEGA line in the coming weeks?  If so, definitely don\'t buy.  You will either get one cheaper or get a new model for the same price.

What price do you have?  Best buy is running 10% off this weekend too.

Honestly, I would not buy a Sony television after the experiences others have had with them.  My own parents seem to buy Sonys repetitively, but every one of them develops some fatal malfunction eventually.  When the television is that big, it makes it hard to take it in for service.

I have a Toshiba 65" rear projection, and I have had ZERO problems with it in the last 3 years.

You don\'t need to take it in.  THey come to you.  I had a sony that lasted 11 years.  Not a single problem.  I have a front projection Sony that has a ton of hours on it as well.

What\'s the price?

Viddy brings up a good point.  See if there\'s a home theater specialty shop in your area  They are almost always willing to deal, or at least sell below retail.  This works extremely well if you say so and so referred me to you guys and said you could give me a good price.  That\'s how I knocked 15% off my TV.

Arizona has a whole lot of those shops from all the ads I see.
