MLB Playoffs - Can this year top last years?

Heh, I\'ve been disappointed by these guys before.. but..

Well, look at D.Lowe in Game 7. Look at Curt in Game 6. Look at Pedro\'s velocity and command of the change-up.

If he can keep those frickin\' fastballs off the plate, he\'s about as good as he\'s been in the past this postseason.

I\'m not saying anything about how I think this series will end...

But I can\'t wait til the first Yanks game at Fenway next year when the fans start chanting "Year Two-Thousand!".

**** the Yanks.

Go Sox.

i really don\'t watch baseball like that..and since i live in the ny/nj area one could assume i\'d be a yankee fan, but i\'m more of a mets fan..that said i really wasn\'t upset to see the yanks not in it this year...it was gettin kinda boring seein then there year after year...they was startin to get a little arrogant too...maybe this loss will bring them back down to earth & humble them a bit..

that said i\'d like to see the red sox win it..sometimes i like rootin for the underdog..and it seems this team deserves to win it...

Whew, man.. they gotta resign him. Theo! Theo, we love you man.. but to maintain that love you just gotta..

A 7-inning, 3-hit tour de force shutout of the best offensive team in the NL by.. coming from my estimations.. the best pitcher in the AL. I felt insulted by Tim McCarver when he called Pedro\'s change-up "one of" the best.

If there are better, more unhittable change-ups than that.. I want to see them. Don\'t show me archive footage of Pedro either, that won\'t fool me.

Red Sox 4, Cardinals 1

BOS leads 3-0

---------------------

How exciting to be one win away.  We can\'t Yankee this series though, I don\'t want to be know as the only team to come back 3-0, and lose a 3-0 series lead.  Although the Cardinals are a big reason they lost this game, when Suppan butchered the ground ball I knew it was over.  Anyway...

Game 4:

Derek Lowe vs. Jason Marquis

I am almost speechless. There is an air around town that I have never felt before. Everyone is wearing Red Sox nalia. It is incredible.

I can\'t stop thinking about my grandfather who died without ever seeing his Red Sox win one. It\'s crazy because one of my earliest memories is of him sitting on his chair in the living room listening to the game on the radio. He took me to my first game at Fenway when I was 5 years old and we went to at least one game together every year until he died in \'94. I remember how he told my parents to wake me up so I could see the Red Sox win in 86. I had gone to my first game earlier that year so like every other kid in school I was in love with the Sox and I was CRUSHED when they lost. That was the first and only time I ever saw my Grandfather even well up. My grandfather would have LOVED this. This is amazing. They have to win.

I\'m going to be at the cask \'n\' flagon for the rest of this series and I hope to see some of you other Boston cats over there too.
