then your answer make me skeptical.  Because when I play it in slow motion, from 192 Khz to 96 Khz or lower such as 48 khz or 44.1 Khz, it makes this sound, pretty much similiar to when you go to a store and buy something say a shirt, the cashier  scan the tag\'s bar code and it make that tut sound...

pretty much exactly like that sound.

The tut noise last for a short seconds then it make this noise that sound like thunder and maybe a bear scratching some hard and sounded like someone pull a trigger or something, the sound slightly varies from different frequency sampling.  I even try 64 kHz sampling.

Esp, the highest sampling does sounded like someone is saying something and purposedly make it difficult to hear and it seem like someone make it short so we can\'t hear the rest of it.

Uhm yeah ok. If you think I forged it. It is your call. That was the only useable thing out of the tape. When moved it over to the pc I chose the highest sampling rate. It sounded like the tape. So IMHO the highest sampling rate makes no difference.

Then again the original question was do you hear anything in it. AKA does it sound like words. Not if I LIC and I are lying for whatever reason.

Hold on, you have human bones in your basement......and you don\'t report it to the police? Thats wrong.......it could be a missing person that was never found, or it could just be someone who was buried there. I don\'t think it would be to bad for the store.....
1.FF7
  2. Grandia
  3. MGS
Is it me? Or does PSone own all the other systems?

tape, what sort of tape is this?  VHS tape, or audio cassette tape?  and you connect it to the computer and record the sound at 192,000 Hz sampling.  Okay, I am curious why?  Since either tape I believe only support abuot 22,000 Hz sampling and you go way beyond that.

Another question, what sort of stuff you use to record it?  A tape player with mic on?

When you record it on pc, did you purposedly turn up the record volume level so it clipped (hitting passed the red) to causes distortion and make it sound louder or something?

Also, why only 2 seconds long?  You just wasted bandwidth when you play record at 192,000 Hz for only 2 seconds long.  With that same amount of bandwidth, but sample at 48 kHz (more than twice the sample of analog tape), you can get up to 8 seconds of it....

So, I want to hear the rest of your tape if that\'s possible.:bounce:

Dude , what in the hell is your defect? You are going overboard on this.

(1) It was a digital recorder.

(2) Capcom and I know nothing about audio and when ported it over to PC we used the highest rate, figuring highest was best.

(3) We also done it at the rate you recommend and it sounds the same.

(4) It\'s only two seconds long, because that\'s the best two seconds. We also have various moans and gibberish, but nothing that actualy is creepy.

Then I opened it on Cool Edit 2k.  I was surprise to see the 192,000 sampling.  The spec is 192,000 Hz at 16 bits, mono.  the sound was clip at past O dB which means hitting the red.

since the 192,000 Hz sampling is too high for this Cool Edit 2k software to play it back, I adjust it to 96,000 Hz and to 48 Khz and 44.1 Khz.

Nope, I didn\'t convert it down.  I just let it player at lower than 192 Khz which makes it player longer than 2 seconds.  The S/N dB or signal to noise ratio is about -48....

any thought or comments?  I am going to try the software WaveLite to see if it can playback 192,000 Hz Sampling or it\'s reaching the limit of my soundcard at 96 Khz...
You like to overcomplicate things, don\'t ya Paully  Sorry it didn\'t just play for you...I just downloaded it and it played fine. It sounded like a tiger eating a dog and then barfing it up...sounds creepy...

You saying it\'s a lie?
It\'s not.
The building is extremely old . You would be surprised the things that happen in small towns and the stuff covered up. Me, personally, I have no problem with the fact the bones was put back and nothing said and I don\'t think anyone else has a problem with it.

Maybe I like to analyze things.  Perhaps, and it seems like i overcomplicate things.  But that\'s just how I am.  I am an audio/video freak.

When I downloaded that clip.  It plays fine too on my Window Media player.

Then I got curious about the "audio performance" of it so I open it up on a program software.

I analyze and write down those details that I find such as its only 2 seconds long, frequency is 192 Khz, 16 bits, mono...

what else?  it clips on red...signal to noise ratio is -48...blah blah blah...

I am just interested in those stuff...

same things with video like dvd movies and videos.

When I watch dvd movies or dvd videos, and to my surprise some video transfer were off....

by that i mean, severe edge enhancements (unnatural and actually loses detail that way), color oversaturated (clips on colors and loses it color dynamic), or the brightness is too low or too high or the contrast/picture is off too.  These stuffs, when i see them.  They looks unnatural and not good.  To think some of these people that are in charge of video transfer to dvd knows what they are doing is wrong.  They didn\'t know putting edge enhancement or turning up the color making it oversaturated are unnatural ways to do it can\'t be fix once its transfer into DVD.  Unless they kept the uncompress video/lossless video untampered or something.

Most common things i see on DVD videos nowadays that irritated me is edge enhancements...I don\'t like these stuffs, unless the director did it on purpose as some sort of special effects or its their imaginative artist ways.  But way more often than not, they just didn\'t know that putting edge enhancements and color clips loses detail and stuff...

Back to the audio clip that Cap and Lic linked.  I analyze it.   I am just curious why it is like this such as only 2 seconds like?  Why it\'s clipped passed the 0 dB dynamic (hitting the red)?...
