Sorry it didn\'t just play for you...I just downloaded it and it played fine. It sounded like a tiger eating a dog and then barfing it up...sounds creepy...
Maybe I like to analyze things. Perhaps, and it seems like i overcomplicate things. But that\'s just how I am. I am an audio/video freak.
When I downloaded that clip. It plays fine too on my Window Media player.
Then I got curious about the "audio performance" of it so I open it up on a program software.
I analyze and write down those details that I find such as its only 2 seconds long, frequency is 192 Khz, 16 bits, mono...
what else? it clips on red...signal to noise ratio is -48...blah blah blah...
I am just interested in those stuff...
same things with video like dvd movies and videos.
When I watch dvd movies or dvd videos, and to my surprise some video transfer were off....
by that i mean, severe edge enhancements (unnatural and actually loses detail that way), color oversaturated (clips on colors and loses it color dynamic), or the brightness is too low or too high or the contrast/picture is off too. These stuffs, when i see them. They looks unnatural and not good. To think some of these people that are in charge of video transfer to dvd knows what they are doing is wrong. They didn\'t know putting edge enhancement or turning up the color making it oversaturated are unnatural ways to do it can\'t be fix once its transfer into DVD. Unless they kept the uncompress video/lossless video untampered or something.
Most common things i see on DVD videos nowadays that irritated me is edge enhancements...I don\'t like these stuffs, unless the director did it on purpose as some sort of special effects or its their imaginative artist ways. But way more often than not, they just didn\'t know that putting edge enhancements and color clips loses detail and stuff...
Back to the audio clip that Cap and Lic linked. I analyze it. I am just curious why it is like this such as only 2 seconds like? Why it\'s clipped passed the 0 dB dynamic (hitting the red)?...
