mm, your ignorance is showing...
no, my point was that just about any title (even spongebob - battle in bikini bottom) can make over a million sales and make platinum list
"Platinum" sales for video games have different requirements than album\'s. Take the PS2 for example, the requirement to be a Greatest Hit is to sell over 400,000 units and only kicks in 9 months after release.
>>>Link<<<The Platinum Hits program on the Xbox has a much more vague concept. From what I can tell a game just has to sell "well" and be out for 9 months before it\'s considered for platinum status.
>>>TeamXbox Link<<<>>>IGN Link<<<>>>Onecle: Legal Contract<<<oh, and many people liked halo and it has a huge fanbase because it had ZERO competition. this was already said pages ago....
That doesnt\' seem to matter. The game is still in the top 10, as Nu pointed out, despite there being many options on other consoles...Red Faction, Time Splitters, Eden, etc.
Halo is just really good at what it does, that seems to be enough for people. Get over it.
and roughly 20% of the original owners have preorderd, thats hardly alot
One, the preorders/presales aren\'t over yet. Two, bet you can\'t name 5 other console games that have achieved those numbers pre-release...ever. Three, find out just how many games actually reach one million sales. You\'ll find it\'s a very elite crowd.
