Cored, my "sandal wearing guitar strumming liberal" was in jest. Hope you didn\'t take it personally. To make up for it, I\'ll drive your car every morning so the engine will be nice and warm when you\'re ready to drive to work. ;)

I agree the next Republican ticket needs to be more moderate.  This one was a little too conservative even for me, but faced with the alternative I would rather have Bush and Co.

true dat... I don\'t like the religious leanings of this admin, but I also can\'t stand whiny, pandering  liberals who give away all my money... that\'s why I didn\'t vote, I didn\'t like either of the candidates... I was happy to just let whatever happen...maybe next time I can vote for someone I respect...

These results may demolish the theory that has been generally accepted among progressives that there is some great untapped source of liberal support among people who don\'t vote.  I\'ve heard it said that there are masses of poor, disenfranchised, and disillusioned middle and lower class people in this country who would vote liberal if they thought voting made any difference.  Now we see the highest voter turnout in 30 years, along with the most offensive Republican incumbent as a target, and still the liberal side can only muster a little less than half the electorate.  In addition, some of the support that went to Kerry will no doubt drift away when they see that their vote had no effect.

That is an excellent analysis.  I thought for sure that the 18-29 year olds would show up in force, yet they didn\'t.  The Republicans mobilization effort went mostly unnoticed - even to myself who keeps up with various GOP activities around the nation.  To be honest - I was fully expecting Kerry to win this election.  He seemed to have the momentum in the last week leading up to election day.

I also agree with you analysis on what it would take to have another widely popular president.  A moderate republican or democrat would fit the bill.

I am also suprised at the lack of turnout for the demmys.... Perhaps the democrats just talk a lot louder then the republicans...

I dunno where things are headed, but I obviously can\'t say that things are headed where I want them too. I am baffled that so many people would vote for a President that is IMO blatantly ignoring the constitution, but most conservitives I talk to focus 99% on the War on Terror.... So that could be the reason.

But anyways, please don\'t argue any of the above comments as they were not meant to spark debate, I am tired of it for now....

Congradulations to the Bush people on this forum for ruining my day though, you bastards. ;)

I am against the nation\'s backwards social movement present in Bush\'s religion-based stance on the country\'s issues.  I know that Kerry couldn\'t have magically fixed the war and terrorist problems, but at least he was for the progress of social and scientific enlightenment.

Bush\'s stance against gay couples being able to share the benefits of being married really bothered me.  It seemed like we were heading towards understanding and compassion for all mankind to have equal rights.

Maybe in the next 4 years Bush can ban women from voting.

I was surprised to see how Democratic Nevada has become... all those Californians keep piling in...

Was a close election... Ultimately I wouldn\'t have been too disappointed had Kerry won, but I\'m glad that the better candidate won.

The better candidate? Lord, you actually believe that don\'t you.

Kerry won all 3 debates, is the better public speaker, and still lost the election. Why? Because people in Ohio would rather lose their jobs and retain their guns than look out for their best interests. Awesome. Apparently the last name "Nugent" is more popular in Ohio than I originally thought.

What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

He didn\'t win all 3 debates...most ppl said Bush won the 3rd one, but that didn\'t really matter, because 30+ million were watching the first debate when Bush sucked, but everybody was watching the baseball game instead during the 3rd debate, when Bush didn\'t suck. And Kerry repeated himself about 10 trillion times...and although Kerry is a better speaker...they both suck @ss...

I disagree with Bush\'s opinions on gun control, abortion, gay marriage, foreign relations and wages. His lack of funding for mandated school programs bothers me, too.

Now we have to pay the money for that so Bush can spend it, then pay it again locally so the schools can recoop.

The only thing positive I see in him, is his resolve to keep North Korea from murdering everyone. They are, after all, evil doers.

I have to agree. I have questions now such as, where are we going to go with stem cell research? We all knew Kerry supported it fully, but the Bush Admisntration really doesn\'t.

Honestly, one of my main reasons for not supporting Bush other than the war in Iraq, is his religious stance and how he puts that into all the choices he makes about this country. From someone who has no religion, I find it disturbing.

So? Kerry can talk better, we all already knew Bush wasnt that good with words. The candidate\'s speaking ability isn\'t what is going to get him elected.

Stem-cell, abortion, gay rights and separation of Church and state are at stake now for the following four years.

Giga...If I remember correctly alot of people trusted Bush just because of "morals"

This country is DIVIDED heavily. 4million votes isn\'t really that much of a difference. I really hope(probably in vain) that Bush won\'t begin to make choices due to his religion.

Four more years...
Don\'t try to confuse me with what you call  facts, my mind is already made up.
