I\'m just squirming here anticipating how the PS3 version of Dynasty Warriors will look like. They look excellent to me now, despite their rather stiff motion - therfore I can only expect nothing less than specacular when it comes out for PS3.

That demostration shows nothing. Give me a game being played, then I\'ll care. Until then, these tech demo\'s are just stuff for fanboys to get their pants in a bunch about .

Uhm.
If a system waits, then price of most hardware goes down, thus the company should be able to improve the specs. The system coming out last should always be more powerful, not only for that reason, but why buy something new that isn\'t going to offer a superior experience (graphics wise)?

Order of magnitude is something like ten times with each step?

Anyway, another rumour surfaced on one of the sites I linked to, it said the GPUs in PS3 and X2 are about equal in terms of power, but the difference is in the CPUs where the PS3 outperformes the X2 CPU threefold!
From that I gather at B3D this isnt really news though, they claim they have known this for a long time (comparing the theoretical FLOPS?)

How would they quantify or qualify such a term without final hardware?

Again, they need to stick to writing reviews.

As for the GPU of the PS3 and Xbox 2 being similar, I\'ve also read that the Xbox 360 outperforms the PS3\'s.  I\'d take all of it with a grain of salt.  We\'ll know in a few days, and even when we do what\'s it going to matter?

Just because you don\'t like the franchise, doesn\'t mean it is hurting the gaming industry. I hate the Final Fantasy franchise, but on the whole, it sells great and thus helps the industry.
