I live in the city. I don\'t think I could pay more for insurance. Well, I guess if I didn\'t have a clean driving record...hmmm...

BTW, that\'s not a double standard. Insurance companies know that a car is much, much more likely to be damaged or stolen in the city. And as far as there being more claims in the burbs, That\'s because there is an exponential amount of cars in the burbs.

Um...think about it. There are far more accidents in the city and its surrounding areas. In some parts of the city, insurance is much higher in other parts. Depends on the theft and vandalism rate.

no, not at all. I\'m just saying that I pay the same base rate, but I have a clean record.

 Also, some parts of the city may be more expensive because of the theft & vandalsim rate. Is it a coincedence that those areas are primarily black? I guess it\'s a vicious cycle. The black population are primarily poor, due to past & present discrimination, which makes them angry & desperate, which leads to them stealing & shit, (from each other in their own neighborhoods a lot) Which drives up insurance rates, which causes some to not have insurance, which causes some to be arrested , which causes them to feel more desperate, etc, etc....

Fuck, I dunno how we\'re ever gonna sort this out. Not in my lifetime, I\'m sure. Even if white people stopped discriminating entirely today, it would take generations for the black population to stop the cycle of victim mentality that they grew up with.

wow...well said Chizz....to be fair,evem tho these things happen in the hood i can honestly say that the majority of black folks livin in those area\'s are hard workin\' people, the people that commit crimes, steal and things of that nature are but a few...i guess it\'s symbolic to the assholes that put up those burning crosses...

as far as the victim mentality is concerned, yea i agree we need to let some of that go, but as long as there is some type of discrimination being used against afri americans on some level, this "victim mentality" is valid to some degree. i myself personally only speak from experience, keep in mind i\'m not mad at the world, or i sit back and blame the white man for me not advancing in that certain job or whatnot. that is ignorant...i just want to be treated fairly...
