New Car
« on: February 17, 2006, 08:25:33 PM »
My old car was destroyed in a Car Accident, the insurance was enough to get me a nice down payment on a new car.  I present to you the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS.

Nothing expensive, but sporty as hell!  I test drove one and fell in love with it.  It comes with a nice Sound System, and a panaramic sun roof.

Just wanted to know if anyone else had any opinions on these, or previous Eclipse models.

Congratulations, as always on the new car.  I love car shopping, and any automobile purchase, especially a NEW car is a moment for celebration.

Having said that, you should have bought the GT with the 3.8 liter V6.  :)  162 hp in a car weighing 3,300 pounds is not really ideal.

Did you get the manual or automatic transmission?

The new Eclipse has definitely grown on me.  Always a head turner on the street, and I\'m sure it\'s a blast to drive as well.  Congrats!

Your flushing money down the toilet driving a V8... With gasoline prices they are right now, V8\'s are going to fizzle out sooooo quickly.

Good buy The Hurricane.

and hurricane if you really believe v8\'s will fizzle out. You\'re a moron.....  V8s will be around forever. The true muscle cars will never fizzle out.  LPG makes them cheap to run or just as expensive as a v6 on fuel.

I\'m not saying they\'ll cease to exist... I\'m just sayin sales numbers on V8\'s have dropped dramitically over the past few years... and this trend will continue as long as gas prices soar.  Smaller more gas-efficient cars are on the rise in America.
