X-Men 3

My comments:

- The Juggernaut lost his powers when he went into that room with Leech (bald headed kid).  But Juggy\'s powers are magical, not mutant, so that\'s sure to tiff a few fans.

- I guess they intro\'d Angel in this one so we know who he is when Apocalypse turns him into Archangel in the next one, otherwise his whole role in this was forgettable.  Rumor I\'ve read is that Apocalypse is actually behind the "cure" to weaken earth before his arrival, so he can overtake it easily.  Feel free to correct me here.

- Phoenix\'s part was dumb as stated before.  I liked how they just kept her on the sidelines so you had no clue there was gonna be a big showdown with her tearin sh!t up.

- Juggernaut had a British accent and Colossus had an American one. ;>

- And speaking of which, no Juggernaut vs. Colossus!?!?  That would have been a ton of prop-breakin fun.

- When is Rogue gonna kill Ms. Marvel already and absorb her powers?  She\'s getting really boring with her personal problems.

Despite all these dumb nit-pickings, I still loved it.  The big fight at Jean Grey\'s old house could have been cooler and I wish there were more characters that were introduced but this\'ll probably be my favorite movie this year.

guess since were not too concerned about spoilers.

the action was good..storyline was alright..but i had some major gripes:

1) why the fuck did everyone die so fast? cyclopse i didnt have a problem with since he was just going to be a puss the whole movie. but CHARLES?! that was dumb. 2) collosus was in it for about..2 seconds..and both times he was throwing wolverine around. 3) angel was pointless..they got the crowd in a bit of hatred towards his father for not being understanding, then he saves him..big woop. I wouldnt have cared if he died. 4) i always hate when wolverine meets up with magneto..magneto can own him. 5) iceman\'s gay and was only the REAL iceman for like half a second when he headbutted the guy
You\'re never too old to burn to death in a fire

Critics seemed to rip it a new one. It\'s a rental for me (besides I\'m no sucka for superhero movies).

I\'ve heard good things about Superman: Returns though... and I like Bryan Singer a whole lot more than Brett Retner so...
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!

If you\'re picking apart the movies because it\'s not totally congruous with the cartoons, you\'re a fool.

If you\'re picking apart the movie for simply being sub-par, then go for it. As it wasn\'t particularly good.

I personally hate movies that are based off a series, have pretty much all the characters from the series, all the powers they have, then decide to change things for movie direction.  imo, if you base a movie of a comic / cartoon at least bother to stay true to that series. Otherwise you might as well just make a totally new film with unique characters.

They do it for most superhero movies.. why not xmen.

Well, largely I meant this movie in particular due to the previous two also deviating. But there is no way they could have possibly condensed all the storyline down perfectly into any individual, or all three movies and still have the movies be digestable.

I have other major complaints with the movie, some have been voiced already in the thread. But overall it was somewhat lackluster. I wouldn\'t say bad, as overall, it was enjoyable. Just.. disappointing.

Personally I think what made this movie bad was the fact that it twisted the X-MEN world and story way too much. There is almost no relation to the comic. I liked it as a movie but it was a total disaster for dedicated X-MEN fans.

I\'m tired of people braggin\' up Bryan Singer\'s first two like they was remotely faithful to the source material. They wasn\'t. He butchered Rouge, he made Wolverine the central focus, he wimped Cyclops out, killed Sabertooth, watered down Mageneto and the list goes on and on. He wasn\'t anymore faithful to the source material than Ratner was.

I personally dread Bryan Singer\'s Superman Returns (will see openin\' day tho, as  a comic fan, I took vacation for it). I hated what he done with X-men and I dread his take on Superman. Ten bucks says Superman ends up being some whiney ass emo bitch.

That\'s because he sucks...mon ami.

And Jugg still has mutant powers. He\'s just practically unstoppable with his magic shit but still very storng without em.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Wouldn\'t introducing Gambit have been a good idea if they\'re gonna be focusing on Apocalypse next?  What angle are they planning on taking with him?

He\'ll charge shit up and throw it at things while making cool witty comments in an accent. *thumbs up* Sounds good to me.

Let\'s hope they didn\'t use all their ace dialogue on Juggernaut *rolls eyes..

Gambit was only decent in the animated series. In the comics he\'s always pretty forgettable so hooray for the decision to leave him out.

What point? That Gambit is a decent character? Because I\'ve established otherwise.

Ign did the 25 greatest X-Men of all time and Gambit\'s position is perfect.
