You really will blame anything on racism. Some random poll made this all fact, right.

You\'re comparing Palin being at 57% from this random poll to what? You feeling that people are on the fence with Obama still? Then you\'re ready to blame it all on racism.....I don\'t know why these surprises me. Oh and don\'t mind the fact that every black person is voting for Obama just because he\'s black.

Quote
Everything comes down to racism with you, I can\'t stand that. My dislike for obama has nothing to do with race and everything to do with my hatred for socialism. Since when did a bigger government become a good thing?

Boz, Kennedy...i see your point....but i just feel that at least within that certain group of particular white voters, that this a group that Obama will never reach,..no matter how hard he tries,... that was really just a response to a comment i heard about Obama being tied with McCain and why he can\'t connect with those blue collar older white workers in ohio & other mid-western states.....and i know you guys think i\'m racist with these comments, but those are just the facts.

As far as blacks votin\' for him...well it\'s kinda historical dontcha think?...and most blacks vote democratic anyway.....Bill Clinton recieved 80% i think it was of the black vote when he was elected....see how that works?...so saying that blacks are votin\' for him soley because he\'s black is a bit faulty...it might be part of the reason, but not the sole reason...if that was the case Al Sharpton would\'ve recieved 80% of the black vote in the last election and he most certaintly did not.

And gentlemen, don\'t take these things personal,...not saying you are, but if you\'re not part of that particular group that i\'m referring to, you have nothing to worry about...i\'m not calling YOU racists, i\'m just talking about folks that i\'ve seen interviews sayin.."i can\'t vote for him his name is funny or he\'s a muslim"....i\'ve seen a few interviews with cnn just asking people in tennesse about Obama and asking would they vote for him & even tho the anchor have told these people that it\'s been proven that he\'s a christian, these people STILL stated they believe he\'s a muslim.....basically i just wanted to point out that those are the types that Obama can never reach since they\'re minds are already made up, no matter what you tell them..

I can respect you & Boz for not liking Obama for his policies, but it\'s this other group of voters that while i\'m highly critical of them,..i think Obama needs at least some of them to win.

But Boz i do agree with you on one thing....i should judge those polls with a grain of salt...those things change on a daily basis and really doesn\'t represent the entire country...but i pulled that poll just to make a point.

I just can\'t see the american public voting for the McCain ticket,...when clearly you can see why he chose Palin,..(for hillary women voters)...not a true qualified vp..(that\'s a judgement issue)...the economy is in shambles....the housing mess...*look at fannie mae and freddie mac*..the war..and yet people are willing to vote for the party that has ruined the economy, but they would rather deal with that than vote for a black person...the argument that people just don\'t know Obama is irrelevant since these idiot voters seem to be making up their minds about somebody they barely know simply because she\'s a women & white.

Well a lot of people don\'t vote by party lines. I don\'t. My dad\'s a big time Republican and he still votes Democrat a lot of times. If you vote because of a party then you really are ignorant. I\'m voting for McCain because he\'s in the middle and America needs a good moderate presidential nominee, not one that is on the far right or far left. McCain is not a party person. He votes for what he feels is right. Like Bush said at the White House Correspondents Dinner a couple years ago, "we need to be united, Democrats, Republicans and John McCain". If you lump all Republicans in with Bush then you are really ignorant. The Republican party has been distancing themselves from Bush. I don\'t care that they said he was dealing with the hurricane which is why they gave him a short speech by satellite. I don\'t think they wanted him to speak too long regardless if he was there or not. I really don\'t think the Republicans wanted Bush at the RNC.

People who are against something always picket.  The squeeky wheel gets the grease.  We all know Palin has a lot of flaws...  But Obama\'s "Plan" makes absolutely no sense to me and it is scarier than McCain dying in my opinion.

Makes sense to me...these huge corporations are currently gettin\' these huge tax breaks and they are STILL being greedy....and as a result the economy is going down faster than g\'mans sister..;)....so again i see nothing wrong with taxing those corporations and giving more money back to the middle class....the thing is tho, Obama is not taxing corporations that create & keep american jobs here,..he is taxing those that send american jobs overseas..(makes sense to me)..McCains plan gives huge tax breaks to corporations regardless whether they send those jobs overseas or not.

Tax those huge corporations and maybe they\'ll start conducting business in an honest fashion....and gman,...LIC is his own man, he\'s just stating the facts, and he\'s doing a damn good job of it...:thumb:...and he\'s not blind like you delusional McCain fanatics....:p

You nailed it on the head with two words .

"to me".

Every one else is around here stating things as if they can see the future and their respective candidate is the second coming of Christ. When in reality, it comes down to what makes sense to you, but that I doesn\'t mean it\'ll happen or it\'s fact.

McCain\'s plan doesn\'t make sense to me. I can\'t support any one who doesn\'t support a woman\'s right to choose. I can\'t support someone who doesn\'t support Stem Cell research. And quite frankly, when I see McCain, I just think of another four years of Bush. That\'s what makes sense to me .

However, I\'m not voting for Obama either. I\'m just playing both sides of the fences. I think most of what Obama says is just hype, but you can\'t deny the man gives a great speech and in the end, I think that may be all America really wants.

With that said, this thread isn\'t about Obama or McCain, it\'s about Palin and why she isn\'t qualified to even be in consideration for the VP seat.

The abortion issue is really the only thing I don\'t agree with on the republican side, for the most part.  But to be honest, I\'d stop baby sucking in a heart beat if they would just start drilling for some fucking oil.

Tax breaks to big businesses happen all the time everywhere.  It\'s a way for cities to entice corporations to come to their city and create jobs.  The city gets it\'s money back by housing going up, education going up, restaurants going up, etc.....

Is Palin qualified?  No..  Of course not.  But I\'m not voting for Palin, I\'m voting for McCain, which would make a far superior commander and chief than what his opponent would be.

By the time McCain dies (If he does), Sarah will have enough experience and the people will have already been established to allow her to take over and keep the country ticking.

Now if McCain croaks right after the oath, oh boy....

How\'s that any different if Obama is elected. Both him and Palin are rookies.

I don\'t really care for McCain (although Palin is starting to intrigue me) but in my head I keep thinking...

Obama = Socialism
Socialism = Bad

Therefore,

Obama = Bad

I dare anyone to defend a socialist.
\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan
