I have researched this and found the following:
As mentioned before, DC is out of it, no chance, never had one.
Gamecube is NOT good, the controller is whacked! only plays mini-dvd\'s. How many mini-dvd\'s are available for hire at your local video store?
X-Box has a chance, although it is just a pc made especially for gaming (has windows interface)
PS2, the greatest of them all. The best developers, games, reputation of the lot. 1st choice!
I\'m not trying to flame you or anything, but it doesn\'t look like you researched this topic too deeply...
The DC has a chance (small, but it has a chance) to become very successful in this console war. They just need people to give them a chance, and if DC continues to do well next year I think that could happen.
LOL how can you judge a system that you haven\'t even played (let alone touched) before??? How is the controller whacked? Miyamoto could fit his hands easily around the controller, yet he is a small man, so please don\'t give me that "It\'s big and clunky" argument. I forgot the website (probably IGN), but they have comparison photos of the GC controller, and other controllers.

That is a good question, but I wouldn\'t know because I don\'t look for mini-dvd\'s. But do me a favor and think a while back in the SNES vs. GENESIS days. How many CD\'s (for videogames, and this is before the SEGA CD), or DVD\'s were available for hire at your local video store?
Now the whole Mini-DVD "issue" has nothing to do with me or you. It has to deal with the developers. Instead of going without DVD\'s and with Mini-DVD\'s, Nintendo offers better piracy protection and faster loading times. The negative to this is that it only holds 1.5 GB compared to the DVD\'s 4.8 GB.
I\'m sure that you have a Playstation or a Dreamcast, but have you ever heard of something called a
"multi-disk" game? Now, I\'m sure developers had no problem with just going multi-disk last generation, so what is the problem now? Also, it will probably be a while before we see a lot of 4.8 GB games, so right now it isn\'t even an issue.

Did you know that the PS2 has many components that are found in computers? Heck, that is why Suddam Hussein is importing them in from the U.S., so he can use them to guide missiles. Dreamcast has a form of windows also, but I don\'t see you making a big deal about that at all.

Do you mean the best
third party developers? XBox has gotten almost all of the big 3rd parties developing for it, and GameCube is gathering 3rd parties by the day.
Excerpt From IGN\'s GameCube FAQ:

Activision -- Has announced it will support Nintendo Gamecube.
Capcom Entertainment -- Working on a Gamecube version of Resident Evil 0.
Electronic Arts -- EA Canada has already received working development hardware and is benchmarking the Gamecube\'s performance. IGNcube can confirm at least two projects already underway by the company. Read about EA Canada\'s benchmark tests right here.
