Reasons why gaming will become more popular!
« Reply #15 on: January 01, 2001, 08:17:47 PM »
Getting this back to the original post of older people being interested in videogames...
My dad (Who is 50 years old)and his girlfriend spent most of New Years Eve playing Samba De AMigo on my Dreamcast. She played for hours and had a great time, and this is a person who does not even know who Tetris is. My point is that these Next-Gen systems allow developers to finally realize the creative ideas that they have. They no longer have the huge technical restraints that they had with the older systems, so it\'s going to be exciting what they do with all this power regardless of the platform.

well trin, al i can say is that you lack companie in others. And your whole enlightenment is to put other children and/or fellow gamers down. And your constent use of big words simply suggests that your main prospect was to have dictonary.com opened while writing this whole discussion. It makes sense your chose to use profanity on a open public forum where children can have access, and more or less do. This shows little to none multiplicty, and sympanthy.

Personally, i find 15+ who enjoy Pokemon is akin to adults who still play Barbie dolls. Gross!

Trin, theres no point anymore really, there isn\'t. He has his head so far up his arse its very pathetic.
Oh, I wonder if i\'ll be banned for saying that, or maybe get the words \'fool\' under my name, how about a picture of a llama or troll.
MM do you believe you are an immature prat?
Because i\'d really love to see what you have to say about yourself. Do you think you\'re a mature person on these forums?

Not as much of a flock as you\'ve got going their MM.
Now answer my questions.

BTW ViVi, if he wants to type with some grammar he\'s sure as hell allowed to. If you\'ve read how he posts at other forums, it\'s the way he is as with many people. Atleast his posts make sense.

Hey Trin. I know I shouldn\'t probably ask you this right now because your getting slammed by pretty much every one in this forum, but I\'d appreciate an answer on the earlier question about a multi console forum.  Don\'t get me wrong, I love my PS2,  but love Nintendo and Sega games (and soon probably Microsoft games to).

In my own opinion, there isnt really an age limit on any game, i dont care if your 18 and play pokemon snap...at least he/she doesnt deprive him/her self of a game that he likes because he or she is scaried of what others think. i am sure you all have want to try it but you just scared of what your friends might think...If that games doesnt interset you fine thats ok...but you can say that a game suck just because its a kids game........now i know someones going to reply.."hey that not what i was saying"....well this was meant for anyone just a statement to the public

That isn\'t a bad thing. I\'m not saying it is. I\'m just trying to figure out how your trying to argue that fact, Trin.

Do you even know what this argument is about, somehow I don\'t think so. This is about mm\'s childish, stupid and moronic attitude in response to interesting topics that deserve good well though out replys and not starting a flamewar because the poster is too fu[/i]cked in the head to bother repling appropriatly. It is totally irrelevant what he had to bi[/i]tch whinge about, be Nintendo, Sega or whoever, I actually liken his idiotic one liner posts to this -

Lamer is a Warrior who appears in different guises to different people, and is therefore difficult to describe in full detail. Nonetheless, he is readily identifiable because of his mediocre wit, utter lack of insight and vacuous comment . You begin to sense Lamer\'s presence when you are able to anticipate the content of his messages even before reading them. Lamer actively participates in forum discourse and readily jumps into battle, but his ineffectuality renders him relatively harmless when encountered in single combat. CAUTION: Lamer\'s crushing dullness can enervate even the most robust Warrior, and while it is usually possible to overcome the presence of a few Lamers, enough of them banded together the can numb the liveliest forum into extinction.

Your right im putting mm down due to the pathetic effort he shows in posting on his own forum, since he is an admin he is seen as a role model by many newer poster here (such as yourself) therefore meaning he has a responsibility post intelligent and smart replies, not incite a flamewar which he has obviously done. He is quite capable of banning me if he so wishes, the only reason he doesn\'t is because I couldn\'t care less, so instead of simply getting rid of me he puts stupid pictures under my name which is what I consider extremly immature. Also if you fail to understand simple English (big words as you call them) then perhaps you\'re the one that requires dictionary.com opened up in a second IE browser.

Regarding profanity, you\'re right in that I probably should let the swear filter do it\'s job, still, the words make for powerful forms of expression that similar meaning words simply do not have. I find it midly amusing that you say kids come to this forum, yet isn\'t this the same forum with the administrator that constanty puts down many kids\' products like Pokemon, please don\'t be a hypocrite. Finally I, like most people was exposed to profanity at an early age through things like movies, music and the real world. To knock one person for swearing is pointless, there are many forms of mass media that promote profanity, South Park is nice example.

Hey F*** you *****! How did my post make no sense? Cause you don\'t understand what a Jackass is? Or is it because you dropped out of 4th grade and you can\'t read well.

now vivi, dont fall into his "troll" trap.  dont argue with trin, its no use.  he refuses to accept reason AND god forbid, admit he was EVER wrong, or ever could be wrong.  we keep him here purely for amusement purposes.  think of him as the comic relief.
