OK. I keep hearing that the x-box is 3 times more powerful than PS2.

1. x-box calculates a Einstein equation 3 times faster than the PS2.

2. MGSX for the x-box will have 3 times more powerful AI, 3 times better rain and wind calculations.

3. The PS2 is a Supercomputer according to EU, I wounder what x-box is? Mayby a Supersupercomputer.

4. U can have 3 times higher resolution on the x-box about 3840x3072. (vs 1280x1024)

5. The DVD is 3 times better than the DVD in PS2.

6.  You can split up the tv screen into 3 areas on the x-box , in the first area you play MGS2, in the second DMC and in the third U play The Getaway. ( at 180 fps)


What does 3 TIMES MORE POWERFUL MEAN?????

Much more polygons + 64 MB of unified RAM + built-in 10GB HD + much better sound system + 4 controller ports + much longer cords for the controllers + better texturing + more nifty graphical techniques........and that\'s about it.

Does that make the X-BOX 3 times more powerful?

Who cares about the power? Although I\'m sure XB is somewhat more powerful, I really care about Munch, Panzer Dragoon 3, JSRF, DoA3, Malice, Tony Hawk 2x, Silent Hill X ( I can wait a few months for extra features/scenes). And if you believe a tiny bit of what Team Xbox is saying, we will have much to look foward to at E3 and beyond. As a gamer I can\'t wait!

The processor in the PS.2 is way more powerful than the CPU in the X-Box.But the GPU in the X is more advanced than the GS.Still the complete tech specs of the GS haven\'t been released.

Well, if we have to nitpick he didn\'t say the complete Xbox specs were released either. He just said the CPU was more powerful than the P3 processor in Xbox.

It is a PR number.  Any gamer that spends time on the web should know that.  It is entirely based on theoretical numbers and is only taking into account those numbers that the company (MS in this case) chooses.

May you explain to me the sense of your questions?

Have you played MGSX?   NO!
Have you seen any screens of MGSX?
Do you know something about it?
Have you played Silent Hill X?...and Silent Hill 2?
...then how the Hell can you speak about inferior or superior versions of games???

I\'m playing MGS2 and I can say it has a Great Potential...so...what EThugg could say about X-Box Games?....The answer is :"NOTHING"...because he has seen nothing and he has played nothing!

I hope it truly is 3x\'s more powerful, cause then I would have a huge reason for owning one

Time will tell, but if recent screenshots are only showing off a % of XBox\'s final graphical powers then Xbox will have some cool looking stuff.

The sound processor in XBox is a beast from what I read, and is considerably more powerful then GC and PS2

Gameplay will be judged when its time to judge it
