People might not agree with me but I have to say the U.S.\'s  miitary has by far the most advanced technology. So I don\'t think we would have a problem facing China. And to make it even worst for the Chinese since most of the U.S. hate communists, especially commuist monkeys

Even so, I\'m of ripe draft age, and I have no desire to die fighting over something so stupid. If I am to die in a war, I want to die knowing I was fighting for a just cause, like WWII.

But if it does happen, I\'m gonna kill me as many chinamen as I can, you betcha.

China has cooled off now after accepting American apology...war will not break out unless some party shoot a missle to China from Taiwan.

If this does happen..China will not be much different from Iraq.

I think Bush\'s idea to pull out of the Kyoto Agreement was one of the most asinine things he could do short of starting a major war. But maybe I should have seen that coming since the petroleum companies contributed heavily to his campaign. But of course, as he said, he\'s not sure about the science surrounding Global Warming. Pfft, saving the US economy, yes I wonder how much it will cost the American public when New Orleans is under several feet of water - but of course that\'s 10-15 years down the line and good old George won\'t have to worry then because he won\'t be in charge. Typical politician, thinking in the short term.

And then there\'s his withdrawl of aid for family planning around the world which is just as stupid. Ask any political and environmental science student or professor and they\'ll tell you how important family planning and the empowerment of women is not only to the demographic structure of third world populations but also it has major secondary effects upon the world economy and the environment.

As a student doing a specialist in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Environmental Science I think I can say that on the basis of those two decisions, GWB is, IMO, a moron. He thinks the US is in a bubble and not affected by anything else going on in the world, and someone needs to tell him that the Cold War ended a while ago. He is a laughing stock in Europe and around the world.

I don\'t think it\'ll lead to war either, but I\'m a bit concerned about GWB. He\'s just not... presidential (is that even a word? ;)) stuff. I understand that some Americans might feel offended by the fact that I say GWB is a moron. They might even have voted for him. But I won\'t change my mind - I really feel he is not suitable for the job. And I don\'t like the way he seems to lean towards violent solutions like war etc. Don\'t even get me started on the whole China situation. Let me tell you, people all around the world are laughing at the election farce and the fact that GWB is president. Sad really. Here are some GWB quotes I\'ve found quite amusing:

"It\'s clearly a budget. It\'s got a lot of numbers in it."
 -Reuters, May 5, 2000

"I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family."
-Greater Nashua, N.H., Chamber of Commerce, Jan. 27, 2000

"The most important job is not to be governor, or first lady in my case."
-Pella, Iowa. Quoted by the San Antonio Express-News, Jan. 30, 2000

"I understand small business growth. I was one."
-New York Daily News, Feb. 19, 2000

"I was raised in the West. The west of Texas. It\'s pretty close to California. In more ways than Washington, D.C., is close to California."
-In Los Angeles as quoted by the Los Angeles Times, April 8, 2000

Haha, this is a really good one:
GOV. BUSH: "Because the picture on the newspaper. It just seems so un-American to me, the picture of the guy storming the house with a scared little boy there. I talked to my little brother, Jeb...I haven\'t told this to many people. But he\'s the governor of...I shouldn\'t call him my little brother...my brother, Jeb, the great governor of Texas."
JIM LEHRER: "Florida"
GOV. BUSH: "Florida. The state of the Florida."
-The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer, April 27, 2000

"Actually, I...this may sound a little West Texan to you, but I like it. When I\'m talking about...when I\'m talking about myself, and when he\'s talking about myself, all of us are talking about me."
-Hardball, MSNBC, May 31, 2000

"This is Preservation Month. I appreciate preservation. It\'s what you do when you run for president. You gotta preserve."                          -Speaking during "PERSEVERENCE Month" at FairgroundsE lementary School in Nashua, N.H. Quoted by Los Angeles Times, Jan. 28, 2000

"There\'s not going to be enough people in the system to take advantage of people like me."
-On the coming Social Security crisis; Wilton, Conn.; June 9, 2000

And here\'s my favorite quote as seen in my sig
"I think anybody who doesn\'t think I\'m smart enough to handle the job is underestimating."
-U.S. News & World Report, April 3, 2000 (Thanks to Alfred Stanley, Austin, Texas.)

Yes. I am american and GWB IS AN IDIOT. The Kyoto treaty thing really pissed me off also. People are polical retards (especially in the rural and southern states) And will vote for the wittier candidate. Gore won the popular vote... and if there wasn\'t this fiasco in florida, he\'d be president.

The US has not and will not ever apologize to China for this incident. The US did nothing wrong. Apologizing would indicate that there were at fault for something. They were in international waters and there is nothing suspect about that.

As for Dubya. I did not vote for him but he is now the president of my country so I will back him 110%. Regardless of what he has done in the past he deserves our support. No matter what you hear on TV and on the Radio, you don\'t become president by being a moron. It is just that the media tends to exagerate the faults and put there successes on the back burner.

About military might. The US has one of the most advanced militaries in the world; but they are not without their faults.  Israel has one of the best Air Forces in the world and overall the best fighter pilots in the world. China has the largest infantry in the world but the US\'s infantry is better trained and equipped than any infantry in the world. Russia is far from dead when it comes to the military. In fact there military is comparable to US in terms of technology. Just recently they released video of one of their new jets. This thing was effing incredible. It was literally able to turn on a dime and it forced congress to give the military more money for research. Don\'t sleep on Russia.

BTW, If I can find the link to the video I will post it. It seriously has to be seen to be believed. I might upload it to my webspace if I can\'t find it.

Any moron can become president - it\'s just a matter of having the right background, money, support, money, parents and money.

And I can\'t help thinking about how the US would react to a Chinese spyplane 12 miles from the US coast? But oh, they did nothing wrong that\'s right. They were just enjoying the fine weather in their nice state of the art spyplane.

Something like that did happen off the US coast, and we sent the plane back to China in boxes. John McCain\'s end of soft money will hopefully let less fortunate people run for president. PS. Where are you from, Samwise?

My God!! I can\'t believe you Samwise.

First off the American recon. plane was in International waters, 80+ miles off of the Chinese coast.

Secondly, yes China Does fly recon planes off our coast (mainly Hawaii).

Thirdly, you should actually learn the facts and truth before spouting off. Also, there is a big difference between a "spy" plane and a recon. plane. Learn it.

Also, if you want to have GWB\'s mis-speaks as a qualifier for moron-ship, then I guess 90% of the posters and people in general are morons, because we all mis-speak, and write typos. Except we don\'t have microphones and cameras in our faces. :p

Kyoto. Please. Do you guys actually look into this stuff?

I\'m not here to educate you, but look into the Kyoto details. Some nations are required to drastically cut pollutants while others are not. Period. That so-called agreement is about as fair as a carnival ring toss game.

And just a note. Natural events such as Volcanic eruptions and fires dump more "greenhouse" gasses (CO2) than we with our gass guzzling SUV\'s could ever hope to.

Do your part!!! Stop exhaling.

Yes, the planet may actually be warming, but our contribution is like piss in the pool.

Sorry to all people in the US , if this thing gose off you won\'t be on your own.

The Whole bloddy world would want to take a side.

But the chances of this thing developing into a war is very small indeed, nether side wan\'ts a fight they just talk big so that they don\'t lose face.

USA don\'t want to say sorry because it makes them look weak

China don\'t want to backdown or they look weak.

this thing is just going to drag on for a short while with both sides mouthing off a lot of HOT AIR.

Let\'s face it the only thing that will be fired off in this is some bad words.

I don\'t care about global warming.  I don\'t care about environmentalists.  I\'m an American and George W is lowering my taxes and I like that.

People should really stop saying "Gore won the popular vote" b/c it just shows stupidity.  The United States Presidency has never ever been judged on popular vote.  It has always been judged by electoral votes and then if there is a tie it goes to popular vote.  Everyone knows that and eveyrone knew that before they voted.  If the situation had been reversed you would hear none of this talk.

Some people may not like it that George W is our president and they complain about it like so many here do.  Your complaints change nothing.  And I for one don\'t want to hear it for 4 years (or 8).
This is America and I can still pay for sex with pennies

I\'m not a tree hugger. But without the enviroment WE WILL ****ING DIE!!! I\'m serious. You should care about the environment. You ever see that movie waterworld? Thats happening right now. The ice caps are melting. Also, because amphibians breath through there skin, they are already suffering from the effects. We could be next. I\'ll be laughing at you when you are covered in cancer and sunburns (I will be to though)
