This section was written just mroe than 2000 years ago.

There was no mammoth and no dinosaur. Logic tells me that it is an elephant or hippo.

I have search the internet and I found out that this is one big topic all over the Internet.
I have religious friends that says to me that the bible should be read in a philosofic way, other says you should read it a see it as it is written.
I know i can´t prove or make anyone here change there minds about God or evolution, but I once did with a friend at work :)
He belived that we were not any kind of animal, there is Humans and there is animals. I asked him why he thought so, but he could not give a good reason, he had always thought so and saw human as animals as a grotesc thing.
We had several discussions about the human-animal thing, One day a showed him a book with pictures of non-born babys and non-born pigs and birds, the thing is you cant see any differences between a pig and a human this early in there life. He did not belive what he saw first, I said to him that humans can have  a pigs kiddnie and soon propably a pigs hearth, how would that be possible if we are not relaeted to pigs?
he changed his mind and know he belives we are animals.
I´m 26 years and he is17 years old.

How old is the earth in the bible?

They never say how old the Earth is in the Bible.

But they estimate from the time Adam and Eve were cast out to now is around 7000 years.

7000 years? That does not seems to be much. Is this number suposed to be taken seriously?

ok i stopped reading at about the 6 page, but A.we are animals, evolution has been taking place for millions of years, it is theorized that first life form evolved from an amebia, it is said homosapian evolved from a monkey or even a dolphin. Dolphins skeletal structure is very much alike to a humans.

All of society is based on "survival of the fittess" this goes as far back as with dinosaurs and as far back as with cromagnums and the neathanderthal(dont mind my spelling) As of today it is still survival of fittess, every nation in world is spying on each other, building weapons of mass destruction. I hope god didnt intend this to happen, if he did he wouldn\'t be a god i would praise, and if he has some type of plan he would have intervened a long time ago. The Bible and religion in generally is just a false sense of secruity for people around tthe world, God is something people use to rationalize their situation they have created. In no way shape or form is there a God(s), if there was why would he take the lives of beautiful people, why would he take a beautiful person and deface, and make it suffer, and then to just die, a miserable death, if you people say there is a god, god has done absolutely nothing for  me.

I for 1 are against all oraganized religion. As for religion starting wars, that in a sense is true, not all wars but a good enuff amount, someone said the holy wars wasnt about religion, actually the crusades were wars started by religion. They were wars for the holy Land(not sure if that was what it was called).

i had some good stuff to write but i forgot it cause this thread was sooooooooo long, when i think of more ill be back

That\'s getting into a really big debate that I don\'t know enough about to participate in.  The biggest argument about "Bible time" stems from how long each "day" was in the story of creation.  When they say that one man lived 900 years, was it really 900 years?  Some people sya yes, and one day is one day, some people say no, that one day was multiple days.  Just as the science circle argues about the age of the Earth, so does the religious circle.  Sometimes those circles overlap, and that\'s where we come up with the most accepted figures.

That\'s about all the knowledge I can squeeze from my brain on this topic. . . I think.

And Average Joe[/u], I know you\'re new and all, but all of your comments have already been made and the religious equivalent has been given.  Please read the rest of the thread for answers.  I\'d appreciate it if you would read my reasonings to as why God "let\'s people die and suffer."

Obviously prematurely.

Here\'s a tip:  As you are reading, type your responces in WordPad or something.  Edit your post as you go accordingly, then when you finish reading it all, post what you have.
