2002 will be GC and Xbox\'s time to shine (perhaps Xbox\'s last chance at a saving grace).

PS2 played its\' big cards last year (it payed off) and looks to have few and far between "killers" this year.  Ratchet and Clank, FFXI, and GTA4 will be nice but do they trump over games like Metroid, Zelda, Mario, DK Racing, Resident Evil, Project Ego, Unreal Championship, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Shenmue II, Phantasy Star, Brute Force...

With all three consoles priced VERY competitively and their online plans kicking off this fall...it could get interesting.

Many other gamers haven\'t heard of them because they are 3-5 months off.  How do you know you wouldn\'t buy the games?  Because they aren\'t your standard fare sequel or rehash you\'ve become so comfortable with on the Playstation brand?

And if you haven\'t heard of them, then how do you know they are Xbox games?

After how poorly the Saturn fared anyone could predict where DC was going.  With a bad reputation and strong 3rd parties sitting on the fence, it was inevitable.

Xbox has a little different story...the 3rd parties seem to be spreading their lineups all over...

Just because you ignore the great games coming out on the PS2 doesn\'t mean there won\'t be any (or very many).  And what makes you think that all of those game you listed above are going to be great?  I can come up with a list of 20+ PS2 games that could be great, but what does that prove?

I personally think the NGC will have the best lineup this year (although many games have a good chance of being delayed [Zelda already being one of them!]).  The Xbox and PS2 will be fighting for second place.  Both of them have a big list of great games coming out for them this year, and that list can only grow next week at E3.  Don\'t be so sure Sony is out of this "games" contest until you actually see what\'s coming out for it.

Oh, and why bunch the Xbox\'s and NGC\'s lineup together to compare to the PS2\'s?!  Here, I\'ll put a little twist on things:

Don\'t get me wrong...the PS2 will have a strong lineup.  Like I said earlier...based on line up (meaning current) it looks like Sony doesn\'t have as much ammo as last year.  Can that change...of course.  Am I the last word...not at all.

I think you took my post the wrong way...I meant it to be read as it looks like all the consoles have equally strong lineup with not one dominating force.

Remember, I have a PS2...I looking for some good games.  I\'m personally looking forward to Ratchet and Clank, Primal, FFXI, Chrono Break, and Star Ocean 3 myself.
