My 2 cents about this war

Wasn\'t it 72 hours?  And didn\'t the hit come a couple hours after the time was up?

The hit was ordered 45 minutes before the time was up though.

It was 48...

And what\'s this crap about Iraq belonging to Saddam?

Countries don\'t belong to any individual and if I recall, Saddam took control in a bloody coup...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Saddam did everything in his power to avoid war. He let the inspectors back in, he started destroying his scud missles and disarming even more.

Oh really? He did everything in his power? How about disarming? Did he do that?

So what if Saddam let them back in?

They weren\'t supposed to be expelled, in the first place...

So what if he started to destroy missiles?

He wasn\'t supposed to have them in the first place...

People like to bring up the same old, tired arguments...

"War for oil"
"Iraq is no threat"
"Let the inspectors work"

Tired arguments for tired arguments...

What about those 12 years, 4 of which there were no inspectors?

One more thing...

Don\'t bring up that "48 hours" again...

It wasn\'t 48 hours but rather months...

Arab countries already advised exile long before the ultimatum...

I think it was last year or early this year...

Disarming invisible weapons?

"War for oil"
"Iraq is no threat"
"Let the inspectors work"

Same old arguments yes,  but they still remain.   You cant deny GWB\'s thirst for oil,  you cant deny that Iraq was crawling with weapon inspectors.

That U.S. soldier putting the U.S. flag on top of the Iraqi one is a good example of what they plan to do....

This war will have repercussions....

That wasn\'t an Iraqi flag..  Oye...

I want to cry.

It was a Marine Corp flag...

And I think this was a case of soldiers who fought hard getting a little cought up in their emotions.

It was taken down immediately.

My God "war for oil"shows complete ignorance.

Why didn\'t we take the oil in 1991?

Why would Bush, who has a major investment in oil, want to drive prices down?

Oh yeah, and OPEC is still around isn\'t it?  Um...  GOtta go.

And that soldier pulling it right back down means what?

Dude, keep eating!
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Putting the flag up was showing America\'s master goal of populating Iraq and taking its resources.

Might as well make it the 51st state.

(There may be more then 50 states so sue me)

war to "free Iraq" shows blind patriotism.  I\'ve talked with people whos realatives are fighting for the U.S. in Iraq...even they dont think this war is all about Freeing Iraq....they say "Free Iraq,,,...and the oil"

edit:  (sorry thought you meant "What did you think putting the flag up meant)

You have been sucked in by whatever force that has you believing that stuff.

I am not going to argue a moot point. We are there, we will win, the Iraqi people will be free and we will be safe from whatever future evil Saddam had planned for us.
