You\'re a mormon.

THEY ARE A MANUFACTURED RELIGION BY A GUY NAMED JOSEPH SMITH. THEY BELIEVE IN JESUS, HOWEVER THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE SAME JESUS THAT THE BIBLE STATES. THEY DON\'T BELIEVE HE CLEANSED US FROM ALL OF  SIN AND THAT HE WAS NOT GOD IN THE FLESH.

More from THE ARTICLES OF FAITH OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
Quote
History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541

3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Save your bam and save your educatin\'; I\'ve heard all this stuff before.  If you have a problem with the things Mormons believe, I suggest you take it up with them.  My point is that I don\'t think you have the authority to say they\'re not Christians.  If you don\'t have that authority, then you certainly don\'t have the authority to say that Catholics are not Christians.

I think you should found the Egotistical Church of Christ, and proclaim yourself the Head Pastor.  Then you can issue edicts evicting others from Christianity.  At least that will lend a semblence of authority.  Don\'t be surprised if no one cares.

Not so....I have actually sat down and talk to some. They believe jesus came too the mormons after he was risen from the dead and taught them. They also believe in some other things that i thought was very strange.  Never read the mormon bible but that is what they told me.

Maybe there are different levels of mormons they where not the ones that believe in 12 wifes i don\'t think.

I have nothing against Mormonism or Mormons. My school is full of them and they\'re all really good people, I\'m just saying the only ones who think Mormons are Christian, are Mormons.

I\'ve heard from  Methodist, Baptist, Catholic, and Apostilic preachers who all DO NOT RECOGNIZE MORMONISM as a Christian faith.

Ignorant little twits...

Being Christian as defined by the dictionary is

Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.

That it simple not who pray too or what faith you are being christian is not a faith its simply the fact that you belive Christ excisted and that you follow his belives that said........

I like my steak mooing when I cut into it. As a matter of fact when I see a cow grazing make me hungry just thinking about it
When did I realize I was God? One day I was praying and suddenly realized I was talking to myself.[/font]

Because the Jesus Christ they talk about DOES NOT EVEN exist in the Bible.

Key differences, NOT IN THE BIBLE:

1.Jesus Christ is our elder brother, the first spirit born to God the Father and Mother in Heaven. His physical body was conceived physically by the Father and his earthly mother, Mary, just as ours was by our parents. This was part of Jesus Christ\'s progression to become a God. Mormon doctrine also teaches that Jesus Christ and Lucifer are spirit brothers, both were born of God the Father and Mother in Heaven and raised to maturity in a pre-mortal pre-existence

2. Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of mankind in the Garden of Gethsemane, not on the cross alone

3. Becoming a Christian does not mean belonging to a church, doing good things, or simply believing in God. Being a Christian means that you have trusted in the true God for salvation, in the True Jesus -- not the brother of the devil.

Why do those people have to recognize them as christians for their beliefs to be valid? Don\'t you realize how dumb that sounds?

We understand that Meat Boy, my argument is that they are hardly talking about the same Jesus.

Let\'s talk about how vegetarians are stupid again.

I was only pointing out how other denominations don\'t believe them to be Christian, not that they were validating the fact that they aren\'t.

But this will just unfold out to a 20 page religious debate so I\'m stopping here. If you want to say they\'re Christian go ahead.

I like my mormons medium rare by the way.

You guys know I grew up Mormon right.... Im not now but I know all about it and I was there when so called christians stood outside our church and yelled how Mormonism was a cult not a faith and the whole time I wonder why you so called christians didnt read the same bible as me you know the one that say though shall not JUDGE..

Faith the faith you have that covers your eyes from the fact that others have faith of there own and should be respected as much as you feal your faith should be repected (hmmm seams I herad that one before tooo Do unto other as the would do unto you).

Mormons belive in Christ they belive he came and rose for our sins and they belive in the trinity. The only difference is the belive that there was also another apostle that came later on by the name of Joseph Smith and he had teaching but only after the fact of the bible not by any means replacing it.

And now I have no faith so Im not getting into this to PUSH my belives onto you people I hate that more than anything. But the ignorance of some people really piss me off

SO NOW IM BEGGIN SOME MOD PLEASE CLOSE MY THREAD OR MOVE IT cause now it has become a beast that doesnt belong in "off-topic"

Oh I forgot that the Bible is the be all end all.

Maybe....and I know this is an off the wall idea; but maybe they consider them the same person? I know I know, its crazy. Bare with me though. Father = god? Check. Mother = Mortal Mary? Check. Died on cross for sins? Check.

Sounds like the same thing to me.
