I\'m gonna wait until EB or GameStop starts preorders.

Things are not looking good right now. That price is well to high. I thought the $400 dollar price for 360 was bad. And why would they shoot themselves in the foot and offer the $500 dollar system. That is stupid who will buy that? I ragged on the 360 for the core system. It was dumb then and it is dumb now. There should only be one system. Not two different versions. That is stupid.


This is bad. And GTA will be on 360 and ps3. I dunno it is going to take a lot to justify spending 600 on console. I gotta see a lot of games. Just like other have said. We don\'t don\'t want rehashes of old games with better graphics.

Unfortunately, the games aren\'t exactly free, either.

Havin\' done my share of 1,000 dollar launches more than a few times, I refuse to do it again. It\'s never worth it, espically when $600 of that 1,000 is for the friggin\' console itself.

This will be my first $1000 launch.

And I think it will be worth it.  Bragging rights alone are nearly enough to make up for half of the $1000

If it isn\'t worth it,  I\'ll let you know.  Mark the date,  May 11,  2006.  I\'ll let you know within 2 weeks after launch if it was worth it.  And if it is,  I\'ll shove it all in your face

Yep, sheep that rush out and buy this stuff only encourage companies to do it more often. Embrace these outrageous price tags, embrace this stupid notion of two different "core" systems and what happens? The companies will continue this stupid shit.

Get over yourself. It\'s your first $1,000 launch. You\'ve already decided it\'s worth it and if it isn\'t, you\'ll be so far in denial it\'s not funny.

I spent a $1,000 dollars on the PS2 launch and it was the biggest waste of $1,000 dollars. Spent $800 or so on the Dreamcast and was worth every penny. Then again, for that matter, I spent around $350 on the N64 launch and it rocked my world with it\'s TWO launch games.

Mario 64 and Pilotwings? Pilotwings rocked your world? You couldn\'t even blow up the buildings. That ruined the experience for me.

You decided the PS3 wouldn\'t be worth anything long ago,  so don\'t give me anything about outraegous price tags.   I wont be in any type of denial.  I see no way I can be dissapointed.

Bragging rights will be a huge deal with all my friends and with workmates.  They will all want to come over all the time,  like with the PS2.  I\'m afraid some may become jealous when they see a PS3 game running at 720p blown up to 100".  So yeah,  bragging rights is HUGE.  No other console in history will have as much bragging rights as this one.  The price and technology elevates it to almost supernatural territory in the world of bragging

So what if you had a blast with $350 and a N64.  I had a blast with a $370 PS2 and Madden + SSX RENTAL.   You are indirectly promoting Nintendo Wii, a nd its not working.

Damn, you should look into getting tech vids for your PS3.  Doesn\'t even sound like you\'re buying it to play the games.
