Hmm Mr. Jacob, I think you\'re making it sound better than it is... how is banning the evolution theory in schools being open minded? No no, they only want to hear their own religious theories. That I think is anything BUT free and openminded.

Otherwise, by your posts I could think all "scientists" were close-minded.

When i meant elements I talked about Helium, oxygen a.s.o, not baryons or quarks or positrons.

What are your church? I know in some part of the bible, that part when the moon turns red and the world goes under. It does now symbolise politics (the red moon) for some people. There is some talk about how to read and understand the bible. I donĀ“t know what you belive in but I see how it is possible to change the bible so it stays good agains science.

We are taught evolutiary theory, but we can also be taught other things, we have the right to choose what we believe. We are not taught one thing.

man, how I love America!

Eric Jacob

Still  you kill people that comitts crimes, deathpenalty is middleage. Its so primitive.
"we open our eyes to new ideas" - Right! Why dont you get ride of deathpenalty? UN and EU doesnt use deathpenaltiy.

Samwise - you misunderstood. They don\'t ban evolution ANYWHERE. they just lt teachers teach a religious aspect along with evolution so kids don\'t grow up to be scientific zombies, therefore making the world a better place :)

bossieman - I think it is more symbolic, that part at least, than actually what will happen. I don\'t think it is symbolic of politics, I think that is hogwash, but rather of the evil that will encompass the people of the earth in the last days before Christ comes.

Also, if you haven\'t  figured out by now, everyone, I am a Mormon. Many people, for some reason are afraid of my church and very hateful against it, but I believe those are the people who would start a war over religion, whereas I know of no mormons that would. We are a family oriented church and we follow the Bible, Book of Mormon, and now more importantly, the latter-day prophet.

Ok, my bad then... I just seem to remember reading it was \'banned\' certain areas... I might remember wrong. I\'ll see if I can find a link. :)

There are problems with every country Bossieman, yes even your own. The leaders of our country are of an older generation. When the next generation of Americans come to power, the deth penalty will be gone and prisons will become more crowded!

the death penalty being primitive is your opinion by the way.

no, you are wrong. I LIVE in America, don\'t you think I would know?

errrgghh, another point that shows you don\'t know how to open your mind. Listen to what people tell you Bossieman, especially if they have experience in it.

No state has banned evolution since teh 20\'s when the leaders of the country were all bible-thumpers who thoguht evolution was the devil. Trust me.

No need to get defensive Altered, I did my research. And they didn\'t ban it as you said. They just taught alternative stuff as well (talking about Kansas in particular here). Even though a recent vote (in February I believe) changed the 1999 vote again. But as I said: "I might remember wrong" - and that I did.

Mormon is kind of the slang term for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was founded in the 1820\'s and is currently the world\'s fastest growing religion.

We are a non-contensious people meaning we are pacifists.

We have 11 million members currently and around 60,000 missionaries out there to get the word out.

my apologies. I just don\'t see why people can\'t take another\'s word as being true when that person has experience in it. I live in the state directly above Kansas, by the way :)

No problem. I\'m just the type of guy who feels a certain dose of doing your own research can be healthy at times. I don\'t just swallow anything people say - and especially not if I seem to remember something about it (it being right or wrong). ;)

Eric, back to the topic, are we animals? What are your thoughts about the creation of the world.

Of course we\'re animals (IMO). We\'re just more intelligent than the usual mammal. And less furry. ;)

But besides that we\'re just animals like every other species on this Earth.
