Church of Sports, huh?

...will you show Husker football games?

If so, you can count me in :D

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Hell no.  Ever since 96 when you kicked Florida\'s ass in the Fiesta Bowl I have pure hatred for the color Red.  Sorry.  Unless of course you pay extra.

Haha!

Ohh yeah, nearly forgot about Tommie Frazier running all over your ass :)

Gotta admit though, Nebraska was the better team that year, besides, didn\'t Florida win it the next year?

And yeah *hands Video an extra 50 bucks*

Oh yeah, that blowout game where Wurefull passed all over FSU\'s defense...

That game shouldn\'t have even happened anyway, it should have been someone else besides FSU, since FSU\'s last game before that WAS Florida. Meh, oh well, in the past...if Nebraska doesn\'t lose to Texas in the Big XII Championship, they\'re in that game...no 3 Peat for the Huskers :(

Nebraska sucks...heha.

They shouldn\'t have played in the Rose Bowl this year. Go Duckies.

This coming from the man who thinks \'genius\' is spelled with an \'o\'.  :p

Everyone has told me that it is hilarious, but that is what they said about Baseketball and that movie was terrible.

A lot of those questions I already gave theories for in previous pages. But I just want to comment that you would be a great anti-Mormon. Just post that BS in a website and watch as thousands of people believe every word of it.

You don\'t seriously think that I\'m going to go back 12 other pages to see if someone posted a similar opinion, do you? I don\'t have that kind of time. Anti-mormon? Me? I\'m friends with some mormons but IMO, I\'ve seen in books that show that their religion can be a bunch of BS. Any religions can be proved to be BS if it is really looked at.
Christianity/Judism: They said the earth was about 5000 years old. Lamarck proved it to be 4 billion years old. Religion came up with some excuse. Humans came from Adam and Eve even though there is strong evidence for evolution. Dinosaur fossils were found that were over 64 million years old. Tried to come up with some excuse there. These are reasons that I think the Old Testament is quite questionable
NOTE: I\'m Catholic so if anyone out there who\'s Christian/catholic/jewish/ect, don\'t be pissed at me.
NOTE II: Just a little something to add (nothing to do with this). In the medieval times, I would be burned for saying my opinions. Fundamentalists would beat me with large sticks for saying my opinions (read Inherit the Wind). Just a bit of info you might find interesting. Actually, most people on these boards would be beaten or killed or some kind of harm for what we\'re saying about religion.

No no, I\'m not saying you are an anti-Mormon.  I\'m saying that those things you said above are the same kinds of things that you will see all over the internet on anti-Mormon sites.  Those things your social studies teacher said were completely false.  I don\'t even think teachers are allowed to talk about religion at all in school, let alone make up rumors and lies about other religions.

And yes, there are tons of books out there about the "black holes" in the Book of Mormon, but whether it\'s on purpose or just a lack of understanding on their part, all of those books ignore crucial details.  Every argument that has been used against the BOM has been refuted, and when they are refuted, the anti-Mormons go onto another thing that they don\'t fully understand to bash the BOM for.

People have tried to prove that the BOM is false for almost 200 years, and they have all failed.  The Book of Mormon cannot be proven false.  It is impossible.

This is what my church believes:  This is exactly why god waited until the 1820s to bring his church back onto the earth.  He had to wait for a country that allowed freedom of religion so his church could prosper and grow quickly.  There were still some hard times for the Mormons in the early days of our church (we were forced from place to place, and eventually got to Utah where we were left alone), but our church still did a lot better than if the USA didn\'t allow freedom of religion.

I don\'t recall ever bringing my social studies teacher into this. And he does teach us different religions CONCEPTS only because my class is called world cultures and we need to know the background on various religions to actually understand their customs.
What religion are you by the way?

Oh no?  What is this then?  "I also heard from my social studies teacher that the Mormons believed that Jesus came to the people that used human sacrifice to the sun."

Well if that is what your teacher is teaching about the Mormons, then he is teaching you wrong.  Did you just got the Mormons mixed up with other religions, or is that really what your teacher said?

Isn\'t it obvious?  LDS of course (also known as Mormon).

Nothing. We are not learning about US religions. We are learning about Muslims (now I know why they are so fanatical), Hindus, Sikhs, Parsian, Buddists.
I figured you were mormon. And about what I said I learned from my teacher, it was something like that. They were saying that Jesus came to some tribe that did human sacrifice (somewhere in my notes) and said to stop. Not sure if that was true or not. Just saying.

Buddhist fanatical????  how do u deffine fanatical?  Buddhism is more of a philosophy than a theology, and they r far from fanatical, never has a war been waged by a Buddhist, their entire philosophy is based on love, and against violence.
