Yes, it\'s racist. And I didn\'t make it up. So point that finger at someone else.

why do Mormons automatically assume everyone hates them? I don\'t agree with Mormonism (?) but I don\'t agree with any religion. btw, Christian beleif does state that there is only one god, and therefor Mormons are not Christians.

One more point before I go...no I have not read the book of Mormon, but I havn\'t read the K\'oran either, but I know enough to disbelive the Islamic religions as I disbeleive Christianity and everything else.

Science will eventually prove religion to be false

GmanJoe:

I honestly can\'t believe this GmanJoe.  You are posting info about the LDS church that you have obtained from an obviously anti-Mormon site (as you can tell by the "The Mormon Mythology" and "True Christianity?" header on that site), yet you claim that is what we believe.  I like to call that the "outsider" knows better than the "insider" fallacy, which obviously isn\'t the case.    I guess I\'ll refute what you posted by that site to clear things up.

Quote
Each of these spirits requires a body in order to develop into a god. This problem was put before the gods\' assembly in which Elohim\'s two eldest sons were present also. It was suggested that the planet Earth should be created in order to provide a place where the many spirits were to be given a trial period to experience life on Earth in human bodies.

Here is the first evidence (from what you have posted) that this site doesn\'t know what they\'re talking about.  The planet Earth was not the only planet created by God.  It is one of an innumerable amount.  Planet Earth is the most wicked of all of God\'s planets though, which is why Christ was crucified on this planet instead of some other planet.  We are the only ones wicked enough to crucify our own savior.
Quote
Lucifer, since he wanted to deprive man of his freedom of action, suggested himself as the saviour of this new planet and its inhabitants.

The reason for Lucifer wanting to be our savior was not to "deprive man of his freedom," but to get all the glory of saving us to himself.  His plan was to deprive man of his freedom and force us to do good, but that is not the reason he wanted to be our savior.

Christ on the other hand wanted us to have a choice, and in turn, giving us the glory of making it back to God.

Quote
At the following voting, the gods acceded to Jesus\' suggestion.

There was no voting about it.  Jesus\'s plan was God\'s plan.  It was the plan that has been used forever.  It is THE plan.  Satan thought that he could have the glory to himself, so he made up his own plan.  But of course, God being the all knowing God that he is, saw through Satan\'s plan.

Quote
Furiously, Lucifer instigated a riot and persuaded one third of the spirits to join him.

A riot?  Um, where are they getting this info from?  There was no riot, only one of the hardest choices we had ever made.  We had to choose between our older brothers\' plans.  We loved them both, which made this choice extremely hard.  For those of you with two older brothers, if you had to choose to follow just one of them, don\'t you think it would be a difficult choice?  Unfortunately 1/3 of all the spirits followed Satan.

Quote
In doing so, he became Satan and his followers became demons who were denied the possibility of acquiring physical bodies.

Demons?  That is wrong.  They are still spirits like they were in the premortal life.
Quote
During the ensuing riot, the less courageous spirits were cursed with black skin on Earth – and in this way the Negro race came about.

That is a lie.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believes what the Bible says, that Kane was the one who started the black race.  The black people are not "less courageous spirits."  The person who wrote that is extremely racist.

And GmanJoe, like I already said, stop spreading rumors about our church.

Also, about that polygamist thing, that site you got that from is even more anti Mormon than the first site you posted.  It starts lying about our church in the third sentence when it says "to become a "God" the worthy male (NOT females) must first live as a "mortal" on earth."  I am not going to read the whole site, because from that line I already know it is another BS anti-Mormon site.

Quote
Aknowledgement of what? None of you have provided anything except "Oh, how could Joe Smith know this and that?".

Puhleez.

You obviously didn\'t read that whole site.  You are not interested in how true LDS church is, you are only interested in bashing it.

Strange that a lot of those sites are by ex-Mormons.

Anyway, you go ahead worship that book written by Joseph Smith who had like who knows how many wives, worship all the gods you want to worship. Maybe one day you\'ll have your own planet to rule as your own....hehehehe......that\'s funny!

I\'ve got the old Bible. I\'ll keep reading up on the new translations of the Dead Sea scrolls as they put more pieces together, while you can look at your fancy shmancy Gold Plates.

Jesus had a wooden cup yet Joseph Smith gets gold plates?

Anyway.....rule your planet with divine grace.....and may you have plenty of virgins to fulfill your every wish. After all, your religion allows it.  :p

GManJoe, congratulations, you have proved yourself to be more retarded than I previously thought.

Keep making up stuff, I think even anti-mormons could laugh at some of the stuff you make up.

Yes many of those sites are created by ex-Mormons, but compared to the total amount of anti-Mormon sites out there, the amount of anti-Mormon sites by ex-Mormons is relatively minuscule.  And you have to understand why they are ex-Mormons.  Many of them were ex-communicated.  Others just couldn\'t live up to the beliefs of our church.  And other have their own reasons for leaving that I or you don\'t know.  But whether the sites are created by ex-Mormons or not does not make the information they post correct.  Ex-Mormons can, and do, lie about our church just like any other anti-Mormon can.

I cannot start to comprehend why you are comparing these two things.  This has relevance to anything HOW?

Hell, even the Smithsonian Institute is irritated that you guys keep fabricating your own "historical facts" by using their good name.

Where did you hear this from?  Another anti-Mormon site?  Can I get some details?

You\'re calling ME a retard? You\'re the one who\'s a Mormon, not me.

I\'d say I\'m smart and you\'re the \'tard.

Enjoy, alterboy! And you can\'t deny the deity thing your doctrine preaches about! Hehehe!

***************

And for Ironfist, you\'ll find the subject of Smithsonian Institute being mentioned on Mormon Apologetic sites(ie pro-Mormon) where they criticize the Smithsonian\'s letters of disapproval of Mormons saying that their anthropologists used the Book of Mormons as their guide when they went to South America! I\'ve got some Photoshop self-teaching to do so you look it up yerself, Okay, rusty?

And since you, rusty, can\'t see the point I made regarding Jesus\' wooden cup and Joseph Smith\'s golden plates....I\'ll explain.

Why would God, give any value to such trinkets like gold? When God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, they were written on stone tablets. When Jesus went about spreading His message, He had His sandals. Noah had to build his own ship, he didn\'t get much help from God except the demensions and what wood to use.

See my point? Why would God give Joe gold plates? It just doesn\'t fit. Is that why you all have gold plated spires on your temples? I know you do. My former co-worker who\'s an Elder told me they were.

No wonder so many people think Mormonism is a cult. Coz it is.

Enjoy your planets. Be nice to you minions.

Ta-ta! I need to skillsify my Photoshop prowess! :D

and there you have it.

You aren\'t only stupid, but you are prejudice, too.

They were actually GOLDEN plates, not gold. Again, you have things mixed up.

But, heck, I\'ll bite. They probably were made of gold, as gold doesn\'t corrode, rust, or tarnish. Perfect for keeping something safe for hundreds of years.

We do not believe Quetzacoatl was Jesus to the Aztecs, either, I thought you were joking a while ago, which is why I didn\'t acknowledge it. Quetzacoatl was a bird god, if I\'m not incorrect, surely we couldn\'t be that \'mormon\' to try and say that?

Hope that photoshop is coming along nicely.

*Read\'s Alteredbeast\'s last post*

*Goes back and reads GmanJoe\'s first post about Quetzacoatl*

Ooooohhhh!  When you posted "Facts : Quetzelcuatl was an Aztec god that could turn into a serpent. Also known as "Morning Star". "Lucifer" is Greek for "Bringer of Light"....aka "Morning Star". Quetz. was not Jesus as some of you believe. " I thought you were talking about what you believed.  I didn\'t say anything about it because I thought those were your beliefs and I\'m not one to bash someone else for their beliefs.  I missed the last sentence when you said that "Quetz. was not Jesus as some of you believed."

Like Altered said, we do not believe that Quetzacoatl was Jesus.  We believe that Jesus was Jesus when he visited the Americas after his ressurection (that is what this "Quetzacoatl" thing is referring to, right?  I have never heard of Quetzacoatl except for in Final Fantasy games, so I don\'t know exactly what it is referring to, or why it would be brought up in a discussion about Mormon beliefs.)
