LOL! how is that, I don\'t even own an xbox(my brother and my friends do) I\'m a PC gamer at heart, but I do like playing console games. Also MM(SOAP make me more) if you read my previous post I said I will not be getting an xbxo till end of the year(or maybe the NV30) we will see. Also you say I bitch SPEAK OF THE DEVIL!

hehe, i\'m getting a new graphics card and PC this fall also...
I honestly don\'t know why you still defend the xbox if you have/plan to a nice PC.

The bottom line is
-PS2 online gives all users a chance to play
-Games are being setup in a way that BB players will get the benifit of their connection, thereby giving the BB only xbox no advantage.

Did I say that, learn to read.(I don\'t mean that in bad way) Broadband can support many more people on the same server while allowing them to play at optimum speeds, that\'s my point, and it means a hell of allot to me. If you read my first post I said this may not be an issue with some of you, but it is for me, and there are many more gamers out there that fit this profile. Yes majority of people in US are 56kers, (not in CANADA though which is strange) which means ps2 will have more people on there server or the games companies whatever.

Maybe you should reread my post again: the limitation is not the connection, but the game itself. Do you really believe that most games will support 100+ users on your Xbox Live? There will be games that support more users than others - some will require broadband due to their nature while the majority won\'t. Speaking of the advantages here (I still don\'t see any) - games on PS2 that will support a lot of users will be broadband only (example: MMORGS, SOCOM game).

The standard game outthere (including racing games etc) will not require broadband unless we\'re dealing with lazy devs (PC industry has many).

I defend it cause everyone else bashes it, Makes no sense it\'s good console and it\'s online gamming should rock. Regarding owning a pc I agree I like pc gaming much more, only problem with the pc industry is the Hardware is years ahead of the software, So those buying Geforce3\'s never get to utilize a good portion of them, devs can\'t take advantage of the hardware for a while due to the fact the majority have older, slower graphics cards

Heck not even pc games support that(except maybe MMROG)
that is not what i was implying, take the dreamcast for example remember QUAKE. It only supported 4 players. Why? cause anymore would of cause serious issues with lag, they wanted the online gamers to have a smooth gamming experience, even then there was a 1-2 sec lag like if you shoot someone with a weapon from a distance even though you had you aimer on him it doesn’t hit em, what they needed was a ZEROping mod.  So dude! If i try out halo 2 guaranteed the game will support more than 8 players easy.

Where does that leave the beloved 56kers, oh yeah out on the dust. I like what MS did equipped all XBOX\'s with BB so anyone who bought one can play. One more thing you are going to have to pay for the BB adapter for PS2.

There you go again rambling on without giving it a thought. I told you my bro and most of my gamer friends have xbox, heck there is one right in the other room right now. I\'ve played the console plenty, so I have tons of room to speak about it.

Actually, I never owned a Dreamcast, but from experience I know how it plays on 56k. And regardless of what you think, the lag goes back to devs not optimizing their code. It\'s all got to do with how much a dev wants to send over that phoneline. If their lazy, they\'ll try to squeeze through as much as possible - that usually causes lag and may be the reason why Quake on Dreamcast only supports 4 players and has lag. I bet if they had used up more time to rethink their code, they could have made it lag-free... easily.

Unfortunately though, most devs (especially PC industry) are lazy and to be honest, it sickens me.

Err... you mean people who bought a Xbox and have broadband in their area. Where does that leave 56k users? Well, out on the dust.. I guess so - but if it ain\'t possible on it, then no moahning or babbling will make that change. As I initially said though, most games won\'t require broadband. It\'s just.. well, you somehow stuck with that image that every game playes better using BB.

I have a question.  When they say that TMB is restricted to 2 players for 56k users and 6(?) players for Broadband, is that referring to just the host\'s connection?  Can a person on broadband host the game, and then 5 other 56k users connect to it?  Or will those two different connection types be completely segregated?

hmm, not quite sure. It really depends on how the game functions. It could be though that you can only play 1 + 1 on 56k while on broadband you will only be able to play against other broadband users. As a 56k user, you could also play against a BB user but only 2 player max.

I might be totally wrong though...

Yes that is right, those who don\'t have broadband in there area are indeed out in the dust.
