Why should you be more capable of seperating good cinema from bad cinema than me, or anyone else for that matter?

In the end it\'s all down to the individual. A good film to one person can be crap to another, and crap to one person may be the best film ever for someone else.

You may consider The Matrix a bad film, but that\'s your opinion. Allow the rest of the world to have their own, please.

but do yourself a favor, seek out the directors i listed

turn off MTV and go rent "seven samurai - kurosawa" or "nosferatu - herzog"

you might realize something, or...you might not

Not true. People that are cultured in cinema have just as much a chance of being wrong as everyone else. And how do you then explain that many people who are cultured in cinema think The Matrix is a good film?

Anyway, back to the topic of this thread... the game got less than stellar reviews from IGN and Gamespot.  Bad graphics, bad AI, bugs... its all in the reviews...

"magnolia" for example.  i frickin HATED it, but it was great cinema

so, unless you guys have seen any films by the directors i listed, please go right ahead and spend 8$ for spoon fed crap.  plenty more where that came from.

matrix = targeted for MTV generation

when someone calls the matrix the best film ever, or a masterpiece, or even just good cinema, it\'s insulting

they just have no clue

The Matrix is the most over rated movie ever. Good action and entertainment but nothing more. It wouldn\'t make my top 100 movies of all time list that\'s for sure. The plot is silly and Keanu Reeves can\'t act if his life depended on it.

Blade Runner on the other hand is on my top 100 movie list.

Everyone can make mistakes, and face it, that\'s just what you\'ve done. The Matrix is a good film, the majority of people think so. Both "MTV peeps" and the more intelligent ones, and respected film critics among them. The Matrix is a good film, you just can\'t see it.

Have\'nt been here in quite some time - good too see that mm is a critical as always!  Keep up the good work old friend.

I came here just for this thread, considering you can\'t find a good review these days without paying for it, psx2central still had the better reviews anyways.
