im not to sure about it being a video if theres no harddrive.

Now i have no idea what im going to do,lol. Iv always been happy with madden, and im still skeptical about how ESPN looks. Wish they would show more videos of madden to get a feel of what it will look like.

Plus i dont want to join a new online league and start out as a newb when i already know most of the people in the madden league. Dillemmas dilemmas...wish i was rich so i wouldnt be hesitant to buy both, lol.

is it 20 bucks when you walk in and buy it? or do you have to pre-order?

Im talking about the running animation, just looks unnatural to me.  I don\'t know, in that comparison between the two it said the running animation has improved so I\'ll definitely give it a shot.

I\'m all about ESPN for the presentation, the graphics, and the online league play this year (making trades online?  ****ing sweet).  But I really don\'t like the running game.  As it\'s been said...the animations have supposedly improved...but running was just TOO easy last year.  I had a back who was less than a stud in Duce staley, and managed easily 150 YPG.  He just broke too many tackles ... not only him, but the then severely under-rated Westbrook.

Try running against me if you thinks it\'s easy. I will shut you down.
And try turning the game up to the hardest level. Thats the only way to play man. pro and allpro is for punks.

The game costs 19.99, no strings attached.

I\'m gunna take you out with my Lions!

Seriously, if enough people get ESPN 2k5 this year, I say we start an online league with the members here.  I mean there have to be others who are coverting from Madden to ESPN.  Plus, we won\'t have to do any stats or anything, just news stories if we wanted to.

I\'ve been in the madden league here since season I, and I am definately gonna rent this game and maybe even buy it if I like how it plays.  I could easily convert I think as i\'m getting a little tired of supporting EA and their lazy upgrades for the past several seasons.

Well a few stores in Texas have been telling there preorders that the game comes in possibly later tonight or tommorow.  Pretty crazy if you ask me.  The Operation Sports board is going crazy though.

the price plus the qulaity of the game could convert me from one of those madden sheep to a ESPN guy.  wouldn\'t that be something.

but i really think this is a bold move for ESPN and hope it pays off for them.  as of this post i am putting a $20 aside for the game.

You are not alone.  Many people I was talking with today at my local Gamestop, where I was paying off my preorder of ESPN, had said they would put some money down for ESPN.  The way I see it is, why not just try it if anything else?  Once these people try it, it will start turning some heads.  Don\'t be suprised of Madden is wasted this year, not just out sold, completely outdone!

Just think, if you pay 5 bucks to rent it, you already paid for 1/4 of the price.  Just buy it and save cash (I can\'t believe I was able to saying something like that about a new game).

Speaking of the game and such, ESPN NFL 2k5 is being released 2 weeks ahead of schedule on July 20th.  This doesn\'t really bother me since the game is already done.  They always are finished.  Sucks for people without downloadable rosters though.

i\'m sure you only need the harddrive to see video highlights from YOUR game at halftime and possilbly during the weekly highlights..espn 2k4 already shows weekly highlights now in video form on ps2..it would be silly for that option to be required this year for video highlights alone when last year they didn\'t need the harddrive to show them..

for football fans there is no reason this year not to at least try out espn.  i\'ve usually bought both or at least rented both and bought the one i thought was better if the $$$ was short.  usually that was espn for me. although madden won out for me in 2001 i think.

this year i\'ve preordered espn based on the reviews first and the $$ second.  then i\'ll probably rent madden and see how it compares.

Last years game didn\'t push the PS2 to it\'s limits.  This year they said it was required.  If you still don\'t believe me I will go out and find it from a more reliable source.
