I hear that!

Reading from a teleprompter and glancing at notes on a piece of paper is just a tad different.

Who are you to say they are using notes and not a full speech?

In that aspect, no difference.

As far as notes are concerned, little difference.

How old are you anyway?

You just having to read a bunch of words off a screen and never having to take your eyes off it is just as hard as writing a speech, and then glancing at every once in a while?

I can tell you from personal experience that writing and delivering a speech takes a lot of effort.  Even if I had it written out, I still had to practice it numerous times so that my head wasn\'t looking at a piece of paper the whole time.  If I had a teleprompter, there would be no need for me to practice my speech because it would be like reading a book.

So if you honestly don\'t see a difference there, I have to ask... what planet are you from?

I am 23, but I am a huge history buff.

Why do you insist on picking fights with me on things you know are clearly not true?

Now you know why Reagan could deliver so well.....

Writing and delivering does not take much effort at all if one is comfortable in front of crowds.

Earth, like you.

History buff? I would think you would know alot more about the subjects you discuss if that is the case.

What fight did I pick with you?  Don\'t act like a baby now....

What exactly would you say you do here?

Because contributing to conversations certainly isn\'t it.

So throwing money at something that is broken is the way to fix it? Wrong. We have been dumping money into schools for decades and it does not work.

Money is only a small part of it...if the classrooms are updated with the latest material needed to succeed, then it all falls back on the teachers and students themselves and parents to make the child or young adult succeed. Ultimately it comes down the individual.

Quote
As for this "new energy" crap that is being spewed by the media (cough GE - parent company of NBC) is all about money. Cap and trade is a bullshit tax that would make our electric bills - everyone\'s electric bill go through the roof by artificially inflating the cost. Obama is rewarding GE/NBC for supporting him throughout the primaries and the general election by trying to get this bill passed so they can make more money.

This is the same kind of nonsense T. Boone Pickens was pedeling last year with his stupid commercials. He invested heavily in solar, natural gas and wind and wanted everyone to jump on his bandwagon. The same applies for the unholy alliance of Obama and GE.

Like i stated earlier...don\'t bitch and moan when gas prices go back up to $4.00 a gallon. I think it\'s only a plus for us to have new technologies, that\'ll lessen our dependence on foreign oil. When we were going thru those outrageous gas prices last summer....i saw that there were cars that were using natural gas to run their vehicles (and it was considerably cheaper than gas prices at the time)...maybe the tech is expensive now, but there\'s always the possibly that it\'ll cheapen with further research. That\'s just one example, but who\'s to say that these new techs might impact the industry in a way that\'ll strengthen our techological savvy in the world and lessen our dependence on some level of foreign oil?

Never has a president relied so much on one. It is almost like every morning someone has to download the talking points of the day into him.

Quote
True, but when you take away his teleprompter he is an complete disaster. Most other Presidents could actually speak publicly in front of the nation sans a teleprompter and not look like a complete fool, I\'m still waiting for that moment from Obama.

Have you seen his recent town meeting that he just gave? The guy takes questions and takes nearly 5-7 minutes to break down the question and give clear and complete answers. Obama owned McCain during the presidential debates and it showed that he needed no teleprompter to shine.

Who cares what a CEO drives? I don\'t. When did Venezuala become our ally clips? How about Iran? The guy is way out of his league on the world stage. Just ask Gordon Brown how those DVD\'s are working out that Obama gave him considering he can\'t even play them due to regional formatting, not to mention Brown is half blind. Obama is a disgrace.

I don\'t care what he drives...but image is everthing, and pulling up to the ford company parking lot in your lexus is hypocritical on an insane level. And who stated that Venezuala was our ally?  He only went down there to warm relations with the leaders down there, but he also stated that it wasn\'t a one way street...those folks have to make concessions and do some things that we would like to see before we act on anything.

So you agree money is not the answer.  Thanks for taking my side.

Cap and Trade has nothing do with gas prices and cars.  This is about electricity and the artificial raising of the price to increase companies like GE\'s profits.

The same town hall meeting where he lied and said the creation of the deficit "wasn\'t me".  Bullshit.  He is a blatent liar and no i don\'t think he owned McCain in the debates at all.  He is a stuttering fool who gets his talking points from his teleprompter.  Bush was a much better speaker when he wasn\'t reading from a scripted speech.  Obama can\'t speak a clear sentence without it being typed out for him.

Lets see he accepted an anti American book from Chavez, he sat through a lunatic rant by Noriega for an hour about how bad the US is and didn\'t say a word.  Obama is an embarassment and a disgrace.  As you said its all about image isn\'t it?

When did I leave? Are we talking about like over two years ago?
Home life? Trying to make a jab about my separation? If so, you are epic fail. My home life is great. I get my girls five days a week and I am dating an awesome girl.

How is your married life? Your wife sucking and fucking anyone else, due to the fact you\'re bitter and annoying?

Convenient memory... you least of all shouldn\'t throw stones in regards to that topic.

Anyway, guess it does bother you lol.  I won\'t shed a tear.  Too bad you couldn\'t man up and do the right thing.  How much are you paying those whores anyway?

Man up and do the right thing? What in the hell are you talking about?
And whores? Once again - what the fuck are you even talking about?

Doesn\'t bother me in the least, would just like to know what in the world you\'re even talking about.

No. I stated that money was a small part of it. I\'m sure you would agree that a science or history book created in 2009 would have more useful and current information than a science or history book that some schools use that are from the late 80\'s - early 90\'s...that\'s were the money part comes in...you need money to upgrade the learning material.

Who said anything about cap & trade? I was talking about how these new technologies can make us a leader of innovation in the world...if you think otherwise or somehow think it\'s related to cap & trade you\'re wrong (or maybe i\'m missing something)...how can Obama wanting the u.s. to be innovators of new technology be detrimental to the u.s.?.....*newsflash* it won\'t. McCain also echoed Obama\'s new technology bolstering during his campaign as well.

Ok now yer talkin\' outta yer ass a bit....everybody had a hand in creating this mess, and the whole thing headlining this scenario was greed. I think Obama articulates himself very well without the teleprompter. One thing i did like about bush was that he spoke from the gut and spoke his mind...but nobody outside of the u.s. liked his cowboy policies...Obama speaks his mind as well, but he does it in a more respectful manner...both of these guys are like night and day.

He acted professionally while he was down there. Did you really expect him to toss the book or throw a childish rant when chavez gave him the book? He\'s above all of that rhetoric and he should be. Even when those leaders were kickin\' dirt on the u.s. he was there to listen....but he did say that even tho that these countries still hold some animosity towards the states, they need to understand how much support & help that we give to others in the immediate area and around the world, and in not so many words he generally stated that they need to let go of decades old anger...any way you look at it, the ball is still in our court.
