Nope, he never made it. I guess they just didn\'t have the money in the budget to put him in the game. Gnome Anne does mention him a few times, but outside of that he dosen\'t make any appearances.

Man, that sucks I loved that guy.
I found another reference to him.
When you go in F.A.C.S there is a book called "Punny Bones greatest jokes", and all the pages are blank.
That F.A. guy is cool as hell.

Have you noticed that just between me and you pretty much we have the second longest thread at the moment.
I think thats funny.
Right now, Im at the Rite of Peace, though Im thinking about restarting to get all the stuff I missed.

Ya know, I was just about to say the same thing. We probably have the longest thread by just two people in this forums history. You watch though, it\'ll probably get closed because people are sick of seeing it on the front page every day. :)

If you wanna start over, that\'s cool. I\'d go through it once completely though. That way, you get a chance to recognise and complete the stuff you may miss later on in the game.

Yeah.
I started over, because I was already at the end and I had just missed so much ****.

I dont think they would close it, just move it to off topic.

Right now, someone robbed the bank, but I cant find the guy, and its pissing me off.
is it just me or is the arena, very easy?

Yeah, the Arena\'s easy. Then again, your hero has a much much more impressive resume than the other contestants. He should be able to defeat everyone else fairly easily. If you\'re going to be fighting in the Arena, you\'ll want to start placing bets. That\'s where the real money is.

Finding the theif shouldn\'t be too hard. You\'ll just have to find someone who has the power to give you a clue. Pick up the evidence and take it to Erasmus. If you\'re peceptive, you should have no problem identifying the theif with his help.

Hey,
Thanks.
I never even thought of that.
Yeah I always bet 1000 on myself, and the wreck house.
Do you lose honor if you bet against yourself and lose?

No, I don\'t think so. At least it\'s never happened to me. You might wanna save off your game and try it but I doubt anything will happen. Now you WILL loose honor if you strike first in a battle. Being a paladin, you must always make sure that your opponent is ready and willing to fight before going into battle. You won\'t loose that much, it\'s probably not even noticable.. but it does happen.

Hmm....I never noticed that.
I wonder if you can become Chief Thief and be a Paladin and become King.
Wouldn\'t that be odd.
I like it when you become champion.
I reigned supreme, kicked ass, and got lots of money.

Yep, but I don\'t know how strong of a paladin you\'d be when you were through. If you solve all the puzzles available to the theif and pickpocket fairly regularly, there\'s no way in hell you\'d be able to get the Awe ability.

Did ya figure out who robbed the bank yet?

BTW: I was kinda curious as to how you made it though QFG2 so fast. Some of those skills take HOURS to max out, but you did it all in about one day. You didn\'t happen to suck on any blue frogs did you?

Yeah.
But cant you become Chief Thief without doing anything?
All you have to do is place a lot of bets in the competition.
Yeah, I did.
That one clue was enough and it did it for me.
I liked Arestes, he was one of my Favorite characters.
This game doesnt have nearly as many memorable characters.
I think number 3 and 4 take the gold for the most amount of hilarious characters.
It seemed like they tryed making this game a lot more..serious than the ones before it.

BTW: HA! You caught me.
I dont like building up my levels in the second one.
Its just not fun like it is in all the other ones.
Like I could have cheated through the first one too.
But, its fun to build up my character in that one.
I always feel bad when I do that in the second one though.

P.S. How did you know I maxed out my character in the second one anyway?
Did I say I did?

Yeah, I think somewhere around page 3 or 4 of this thread you said something about maxxing your character out. It kinda bugged me at first, but you never know what a little dedication and a whole day off will do. I just kind forgot about it for awhile and then remembered you said something about your job and I though.. wait.. WTF, you can\'t maxx out your character in only 9 hours.. hell it\'s a streach just to complete the game in that amount of time. That and I\'m going through the games right now with a thief and there\'ve been times where I\'d pick locks/my nose for about an hour only to gain a meesly 20 points in Pick Locks. There\'s just no way you could max out everything.

I probably will cheat a bit too. I\'ve got to raise my climbing skill, but there\'s nowhere to practice climbing in Shapeir so I\'ll just cheat a bit on that.

BTW: Did you help get Arestes set free after you caught him? Since you\'re a Paladin, go talk to him sometime and learn about why he did the crime. Then talk to Julanar about his missing arm and see if she can\'t do something for him. You\'ll get a few honor points for doing so.

Also, it\'s probably too late by now but you do get more honor points if you free all the fishing villages durring the first rite. I would have figured you\'d loose honor by taking away the other competetors chance to beat you, but I guess it\'s the other way around.

Yeah, I got his arm healed.
That was a few points.
I also freed all the villages as well.
I think you dont lose points, because I dont think the other villages get freed, because if you finish it first I think they call everyone back.
If you only free Naxos, and go look at the board afterwards, it only lists Naxos as freed, but now that I freed them all it lists them all as free.

I think the awe spell is the best in game.
I have that equipped to my belt pouch.
Do you think you are a more powerful Paladin than Rakeesh at this point.

I think you can get climbing points by buying the magic rope and then just climbing up and down it.
But I could be wrong.

Naw, I\'ve been climbing the magic rope but it\'s such a pain in the ass to use that it\'s really not practical. It\'d take DAYS to build up your skill using the rope.. and I just don\'t have the patience to press the up and down and F3 keys for that long.

Now about the Awe spell, it\'s probably my least used Paladin ability. It just makes the game too easy and to tell the truth it\'s a little hokey. I like the combination Holy Strength/Honor Sheild/Magic Guard. Almost nothing can touch you like that and if you\'re wearing the Atlas Armband you can defeat almost all monsters with just two to three clicks. (Depending on your Strenght & Weapon Use skills)

And yeah, by the time you get the Awe ability you\'ve become as great if not greater a paladin than Rakeesh is. You really can\'t say who\'s greater since Awe is the top ability you can have, and Rakeesh has it as well. (Remember the first trip to the Simbani village in QFG3?)

Yeah, I remember him saying something about that skill, or at least alluding to its existance, so thats what I figured.

I only use Awe when Im taking over the Villages and Im looking for the house with the Sigils and each time I come out I have to fight ALL those guys again.
Besides you gain honor for using Awe.

I can see it getting annoying trying ot increase ANY skill in part two except for Parry, Dodge, and Weapon use.
Part two does have one of the better stories.

Thats why I hate when people complain about the lengths of games.
If you play QFG1 Straight through and only do what is needed to beat the game, Im sure you can beat that game in one or two hours.
Granted the others take longer, but they still arnt terribly long.
I think this series has one of the highest replay values ever.

Yeah, but you gotta understand that at the time those games were made, they WERE long as hell. Games have changed in past 10 years and gamers expect more for their money. (Which is why i get pissed about people complaining about the price of games) And I don\'t really think you can just go through the first few games without practicing any skills because by the time you get to the later games your character is so weak, he\'s either dead before you can get the chance to practice.. expecially in the fighters case, or it\'s just too much damned work to build your character back up to the point where he can accomplish even the most menial of tasks.

But then again, if you\'re new to the game then I can\'t imagine it\'d only take 2 - 3 hours to complete. There\'s so many puzzles and tasks that just figuring them out would take a good 24 hours at LEAST unless you\'re a fricking genius. Well maybe not so much with the first game, but definately the second game and from then on out. It\'s like Resident Evil.. yeah you can beat it in 3 to 4 hours but if you\'re new to the game it\'ll take much longer.

BTW: In QFG3, Rakeesh uses his "Paladin Abilities" too keep monsters away while you and him are traveling to the Simbani village. That is what I would consider the Awe ability.
